Far from rebuffing me, you have affirmed my position. Thanks for the support, buddy.

Did you start on your artwork yet?

And we shall call you 4Pages from this day forward!

No, I have not started the Zombie art. I hung up my pencils and pens after Picture Pages went off the air.

G-town to be precise. I really appreciate the offer! However I have a dog show I have to work at, can't slide out of that one. Next time huh?

Spam, you might even know where this dog show is, I see your location is Hutto. Now the question is, how well do YOU know your surrounding area?

Pretty well. My job requires me to drive daily as far west as bertram and marble falls, north as far as temple, south as far as north austin and east as far as rockdale. However I am ipretty ignorant of dog shows because I am a heterosexual male. Ooooooh burn! ha ha just kidding hopefully we'll see you next time.

Well, see you all tomorrow. I will be getting there around 09:40 A.M. If you arrive late and the rest of the group has gone
to the shooting area, just tell the guy behind the counter that you are with the group that rented the private bay...
Later...

Just got back from our range time and luncheon. It was great fun. Two members made their first appearance with us, Jester and Slugg. They are a welcome addition to our merry band of preppers. Special thanks to the Austin-based fellas for coming as it was a bit of a drive for all of you.

What did we learn from today's shoot and lunch?

Spammity's Sterling carbine was a blast to shoot. It felt solid like a tire iron and had practically no recoil. The magazines were also industrial strength metal. So solid, in fact, that you could use them to hammer in tent stakes -- not to mention zombie noggins should one run out of ammo. Oh, by the way Spamster, don't let'm tell you that your shot shell bandoleer is mall-ninja....just say that it's highly functional.

Dubbya's bull-pup .22 was "dead-on-balls-accurate". I was putting rounds in holes making me think I was missing completely sometimes. No really, it's that accurate. D's bolt action .270 was like-wise accurate and left you with that ever-so-pleasing sensation of shoulder whip-lash.

Glitch took out his frustration with his shotgun on some postal service package cardboard he purchased (apparently the postal service, in keeping with it's very efficient record-keeping, sent/charged him 10x the amount of boxes more than he ordered). From the looks of things, he had some kind of special enmity against those boxes. I sort of feel sorry for those boxes.

Jester's Kimber was a beautiful thing to behold. His xd45 was also fun to shoot. Jester shot so many bullz-eyes that the target backing we received from the range had to go in the trash. Hope, your AR problem turns out to be a minor problem.

When the smoke cleared, we went to Tink-a-Taco for some nearly authentic Mexican food (Sure beats the heck out of Taco Cabana and Taco Bell :D ).
I took full advantage of my elder statesman status by poaching nachos from both ends of the table. We discussed some ZS-related topics and then engaged in random, nonsensical chit-chat. It was a fun meal with a great bunch of folks -- not a weirdo among them. Who would have "thunk" that I would meet down-to-earth, very stable people from a website named, "Zombie Squad".

Glitch talked about the next scheduled event -- a bugout, campout (location TBD) in September. If anybody reading this wants to go, Glitch will post more about that in early August.

Well, be seeing you.

And dont forget. All my firearms worked this time! The Kel-Tec did not like Jesters aluminum magazine but was all "om nom nom" with the p mags. Since its basically a new firearm, Im sure some breaking time will help with that. The Sterling was a fun gun to shoot. It was so heavy it felt like firing a .22. They certainly dont make them like that anymore. I want to see pictars of me in my highly functional bandoleer.

AR problem resolved. There was some residue on the casing which made it seize in the chamber after firing. All is good now and other rounds have been cleaned to avoid this stupidity on my part in the future.. I had a great time all and look forward to doing it again.
