NC Zombie Hunters: Represent at Operation Eagle?

Postby J.C. » Tue May 18, 2010 5:56 am

Hi so I know we have a NC meet & greet thread and thats cool but I have an idea for a specific event we could attend together.

Now, please don't laugh.

Ok, laugh. But consider it anyway.

Operation Eagle III is a large-scale Airsoft game. It will be nights, two days of camping, strutting about in mall ninja suits, and getting our heads handed to us by a bunch of pre-teens.

At least, that's how it looks to me since I've never yet actually fired an airsoft gun. But I realized I had nearly all the gear required for this - a BDU, chest rig, hydration system, backpacks, boots, camping stuff, shooting glasses, FRS/GRMS radio man you name it. I just had to shell out a few bucks for an AEG rifle (I got a JG G3 clone but just because I own a PTR-91; don't ask me what is good).

I also realized just hiking and camping in full mall-ninja gear is kind of well, wierd looking. So best to do with hundreds of other people doing the same thing!

Anyway, I signed up for it. Its $60 bucks but its for charities - Operation Homefront and something that works with Autistic kids.

If any other folks in or near NC want to sign-up and represent the ZH flag, I think that would be cool. If not, thats cool too.

If you do sign-up please sign up for the "green" side (meaning you will wear a mostly green camo), which is team New Bern. At least, that is what I signed up for.

Yes thats right we are re-enacting the PAW battle between Jericho and New Bern Kansas from the short-lived TV show Jericho.

Cheers,

J.C.

Why do tornadoes zero in on trailer parks? Why not just blow around harmlessly? It's the way of the world, man.
