Central Texas Chapter camp-out.

The Central Texas Chapter camp out on February 20th-21st has been moved to Goodwater loop in Georgetown, the new site will be at Walnut Springs Camp.

There will be burgers and chips provided that night by Karnedge and myself, any additional food items brought will be greatly appreciated. Let us know if you would be able to attend and if you're bringing anything. We would like to get a good head count fairly early so we have an idea on how much food to bring.

If you plan to attend please let us know so we can set you up with the proper maps needed to find the site.

Also, if anyone has any ideas, questions, or requests for this event, please let us know as soon as possible.

What about a fire making class? Ive been wanting to try making one with a bow.

dont worry about fixings we plan to bring Buns, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and some A1.
i also plan to bring a case Dr. Pepper.
if there is something else that you would like let us know so we can try to bring it.
You are welcome to bring any sides, dessert, or beverages.

As for the fire making class i don't know much about using a bow, but if some one wants to volunteer to teach a class that would be great.

I've never started a fire with a bow, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

So, I can bring some things after thought.

Firewood. I have a bunch already split up.
Breakfast. Depending on how many are coming. I'll bring along eggs, bacon, salt, pepper, salsa, cheese, torts, etc. I figure the budget supports up to 6. So if there is more maybe someone will go in with me?

I won't know till the last minute if I can go but hope to make it. I'll see if I can get Rc Walla to come and teach firebow technique. He is a Master at it and many other things.

For those who didnt get to come along here are some pics. Weather was pretty decent. We saw some light rain during the night and pretty stiff winds as we attempted to canoe back out the next day (more on this with the pics).

Now back to the WIND. We unsuccessfully attempted to go back the way we came in. After quickly giving this up we decided to canabalize Glitch's tent and use the rain fly to make a sail with paracord. This.......actually worked! Atleast for the most part.............
