It was 11 here this AM. It's up to the majority. We can push it further into march or first part of April, when it will stay in the 40's, you guys tell me what you want to do.

I just don't like those upstate NY boys and girls hogging all the chilly glory.

I'm sure we can pull it off, but how useful and fun this experience going to be? Besides we'd be missing a gun show in Chantily.

20 isn't cold :-)

I might be down for this, lots of hours between y'all and me though.

It doesn't matter to me but If anyone is going to be uncomfortable then I would rather wait. I was doing this as a test of my ability to be comfortable in a frigid enviroment. Which I haven't really done in a long, long time.

I didn't know there was a Show at the Dulles Expo center that weekend, but I'm still game. I don't have enough money for any of things I'd like to get, anyways.

Agreed. Also there is the whole safety in numbers issue. It wouldnt be like a solo hike into Denali or anything... (famous last words, yea I know)

ok, how about this, if we push the date back then we would have options of more places to go and the weather would be warmer. Also maybe we could get more people to go.

Can we get a count of how many would still be game for Feb 12-14?
I'm still in, but I might have to scoot really early on V-Day.

yeah, I was thinking the same thing, maybe cutting it back to one night or leaving really early sunday morning.
How many up for one night of freezing cold ?

I had a epiphany this morning at 0400 when I let my dog out for latrine call and it was 0 deg and windy.

I am still good for Feb 12-14. Dont let this affect your decision in any way, but that will be pretty much my last free weekend til mid-May. :(

I plan on making it. My son is 15 and I will be bringing him if that's ok. He is very mature and quiet. The only thing that might mess us up is sports schedule's. Once we have a firm date I'll check with the coach's and know for sure. I like the idea of a pre trip meeting. I am very safety conscious when firearms are concerned and I hope the group is as well. I have an AR15 and an Armalite AR180 that I would love to shoot. Let me know when we have a firm date please. I am new to the forum but I hope to get to know you guys better and learn from you. I have military training in first aid, combat, weapons and tactics but I have a lot to learn about SHTF situations. John

I say 2 nights. Last time it was a perfect schedule. Plenty of time for everything. I'm afraid that with one night we'll feel rushed.
Btw, we are going to Northriver, right?

Stimpy, any luck with Salam and Maeklos?

Sounds great, we'd love to have you guys along if you can make it.

As for how many days... I don't know. I'm kind of waviering around because I don't know what my V-Day plans are yet. It's the first time in a while that I might have someone to "celebrate" with. I don't want to ruin the fun for everyone else, so I might just do one night. I'll have a better idea in the weeks to come.

I hate to be "that guy", but next week is the deadline for me to request time off on 12-14. A buddy of mine who really wants to come is in a same boat.
