Put me down for a solid maybe. My dad's health hasn't been the best lately. I'm not sure where I'll be in a few months. I might be able to get down for a day trip at least.

Hope your dad will improve and also that you will be able to join us. It's been a long time since all of us have been together.

FYI this is the same weekend as the OV St Patties day Parade. I will try to attend whichever event prevails. Both have adult beverages, but only one has fire and firearms :awesome:

On another note, anyone going to want to go early on thursday night again like last time (if we are allowed)?

That was pretty fun and added one extra night into the mix.

Oh I almost forgot... When was the last time yo uguys were up at Gore? I was up there last summer and they have changed up the range a bit since we were all there before. They cleaned up the range and reoragnized it. It was boiling hot so I didn't stick around long but it looked like there may even have been a range attendant. I'm not sure if there are new rules or anything but figured I would throw that out there.

Same here, they have smoothed out the grounds and cleaned up all the trash, so you don't have to worry so much about needing a Tetanus shot just to walk around. The attendant is pretty there to make sure everyone cleans up and generally just sits there. Still the same, everyone polices themselves and just cleans up afterwords. The "road" was a little better, only a few bad spots. The owners said they were planning to knock down some more of the mountain and get up to 300 yds and eventually have covered shooting benches/target stands, etc.. I am not sure have far they progressed since we were there last but it was a significant improvement over what used to be there.

Can you still shoot anything you want, or do you have to bring real targets and stands?

Hey guys, fairly new to the forums...just saw this, sounds like a pretty good time. I'll have to check my cold-weather gear, make sure it's still useable (hasn't been used in 5+ years), but I'd love to come along if y'all don't mind a newbie coming along...

Also, if I saw where this Cove campground is located correctly (outside of Winchester VA), there's gonna be a gun show close by that same weekend...just in case anybody's looking to expand their collection some on the way home...http://www.guns-knives.com/file/flier/w ... 570612.pdf

Speaking of gun shows, anyone going to Nations @ Dulles Expo next weekend? (February 14, 15 & 16, 2014)
Does your BOB at least have: water, basic tools, fire, food, first-aid kit, and shelter?
