Aurora Sportsmans Club (IL) 4th Annual Zombie Shoot

Post by RayGun19 » Thu May 24, 2012 6:02 pm

In a dimly lit room, filled with mindless, bloodthirsty, half-alive, subhuman customers (of Panera Bread) a small group gathered. The smell of locomotive smoke was thick in the air. We had gathered to discuss the coming horde. And what could be done about it. Murmurs of death and carnage were all around the table. I glance down to review the list of items to be discussed in front of me. When I looked back up, four of the nicest guys I've met in some time had railroa, uh, voted me to be in charge of the defenses. In times like this, men gathered into groups to discuss a coming storm often look for a leader. In this case, it's me.

I've delegated jobs to each of them. Others amongst us willing to volunteer, please hold your PM/Emails until I announce all of the positions (so you're not emailing one person only to be handed off to another in charge of volunteers).

Stand watch my friends, keep your weapons close by. In the coming times, death may find you where you stand.

More to follow, Date Sept TBD, please stand by.

May God Help Us All.

For some reason, the national news isn't paying attention to this closely enough. How is it that we know about it, but they aren't saying anything. You'd think the President would address the nation.

This is from a friend in Northern Florida. He had a trail cam on his shed, which he thought had been vandalized. Quite the contrary apparently.

I smell government cover up. But who's to say.

I'd advise everyone on here to stock up on food, water and ammunition. Also, I'd advise you to hit up the club and practice your marksmanship. CMP, Archery, IDPA would help. There's always PRACTICAL RIFLE AND PRECISION PRACTICAL RIFLE. Reports are from local hunters in the area that the "individuals" don't seem to react to body shots. That only a shot to the head seems to put them down. The weird thing is, that when the hunters brought back local law enforcement, there wasn't any body. Prompting the cops to think the hunters were crazy.

A scientist friend of mine said that if the reported sightings are true, and the rate of travel stays the same, they could be in our area around September. Perhaps the end of the month. But it's too tough to call.

Please check back for further updates.

An update from our command center:

The power is back on. Finally. Spending almost a week with no power in this heat wave wasn't much help. With nothing but cell phones (and some of the towers were knocked out by the massive storm) keeping up on the news was spotty. Now I see that the national news has finally picked up on the zombie problem. The disturbing part is that the infection (that's what we're calling it now, but we still don't know if it's a disease or not) has reached Indiana. I'm sure it won't be long until they're in Illinois, and then it's only a matter of time before they reach Waterman.

Volunteers are pouring in. We're working on fortifications as quickly as we can. Holding up at the Aurora Sportsmans club seems like a good idea. With the tall berms, and open land all around, we should be able to defend ourselves pretty well. The key will be to have plenty of shooters to man the defensive positions. It looks like we've got some leads on arms and ammunition companies that are interested in helping out. And why wouldn't they? Their lives and families are at risk as well.

News broadcast from Indiana

Also, I see an informative website has been put up. And someone is posting in a blog on the site. Looks like the guy is trapped in a hotel room somewhere. Indiana maybe??
