For all it's flaws, this is what kept me with Red Orchestra and now RO2. You shoot someone in the face with a P38/TT33 once, they go down. Most 8mm/x54r COM hits will do it in 1, sometimes 2 shots, somewhat less for SMGs, though every weapon is capable of 1-hit kills.
Nothing is ever what it seems, but everything is exactly what it is.

Only game I've ever played with a realistic hit location/death thing like that?

A hunting game. In WalMart. Heartshot/headshot = dead.

That's because errr, umm you see arm hairs are vital for regulating our body temperatures! Yeah, and we die without em?

I haven't played much lately, nothing is really grabbing me now, getting a little excited for Skyrim though.

I got Battlefield 3 when it came out and have been playing it pretty much nonstop. I really liked the "classes" and how you can modify your load out mid-match. This game requires you to work together a lot more and the "lone wolves" don't do quite as well as other online games. The vehicles provide a nice break to the action and you often find yourself jumping out of helicopters, deploying your chute and just seeing what you can shoot before you hit the ground.

I told myself and others that I was done with the COD series. I didn't feel, at first, that MW3 was actually a sequel, rather it felt like MW2.1. I couldn't see paying $60 for just some new maps and guns. However, the more I play Battlefield, the more I miss about COD. I'll likely be buying COD in the coming days, and after playing for a few weekends, I will decide whether or not I'll hold onto my Battlefield.

The realistic locational damage in RO2 is what convinced me to get the Arwen's mod for FO-New Vegas. Love that mod, and EVE and Millennia's Weapon retex project are 1337. That is the first time I have ever used "1337" EVER, that's how much these mods enhanced New Vegas. Unfortunately, my PC isn't powered by some humming, onyx obelisk from the Yangzte Nebula, so I'll unfortunately be getting Skyrim for Xbox. I might mod the game anyways using usb methods and an external hard drive so I don't get my Xbox live account locked. Fucking Microsoft and there inexcusable, non-reasoning, self glorifying terms. I'll mod the shit out of any gorram game I want, and then I'll pull out a picture of old man Gates and shroom stamp the weasely excuse of an asshole. A real son of a bitch at least comes out and says, "I'm about to fuck you, and you will NOT enjoy it." Billy boy hides behind double speak and PR curtains.

No, I am not bitter at all :P

I've been playing DC Universe for about almost a week and it's pretty cool. Other 2 games I love playing are the Resistance trilogy and Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. I know their not more on the realistic side like Battlefield or COD but they are just fucking awesome.

If I ever so much as start to play minecraft, you will see my ass in the missing persons section. It'd be like those unsolved mysteries eps, where a man was last seen logging on to his laptop. . .

I am. BF3 seemed overhyped, underlength, and overall just unsatisfying.

MW3 hasn't blown my socks off, it is in the process of blowing them off.

For me, BF3 (specifically the multiplayer, the only reason i bought the game) feels way too much like Medal of Honor, a game i truly hated. It just doesnt have the same feel as bad company two, a game i truly loved. They killed sniping with the scope glare. Id understand it if it glares when your facing the sun but it glares no matter where you are. You can be in a pitch black subway with no lights around but that scope looks like a tactical light.

It was just a big compounding effect of the little things that made it bogus for me. Only things i like are the vehicles.

I like it ok, I do hate the glare, the stupid fact that even if I drop 7 rounds in someone from my m4 they can kill me after being slow on the draw with a couple rounds from their scar h. Unlocks are too slow, level unlocks are stupid (don't give me camo, give me a damn gun or other boom boom).

I really like support classes w the medic and ammo stuff, I usually only have 4-6 kills but still end up in the top 10 with my support duties.

I wouldn't say a single one of those had realistic damage, hit based damage yes, but in all those games I've survived being shot in the head, usually multiple times. Very few games have realistic as it tends to be a niche market, AARMA and RO2 are the only ones that come to mind.

Skyrim for the fucking win!!!

I think I put in around 300-400 hours into Morrowind, maybe 200 into Oblivion... Skyrim has been out for 2 weeks and I've already logged 97 hours of play (and yes, I have a full-time job haha.)

Absolutely amazing graphics. Amazing storyline. Amazing gameplay. I'm hard to please with a lot of games. And there are a couple little issues with the game I dislike (if you already have a companion with you, and you take on a quest that requires you to group up with someone, you'll lose your main companion, and the gear you gave him, and he's no where to be found, after the quest is completed, kinda lame, but you can remove the gear first to at least save that). But they did such an amazing job on Skyrim on so many different levels.

Even if your not an RPG'er, you owe it to yourself to pick Skyrim up. To me (and many many others) it has completely re-invented what gaming is supposed to be. It has 110% lived up to it's hype. Think Lord of the Rings for fantasy, Star Wars for Sci-Fi or Saving Private Ryan for military movies. For gaming, every other game designer out there is going to have a hell of a time stepping it up to the level Bethesda has done with Skyrim. Just f'ing amazing. I'm still (obviously) giddy as fuck about the game, even though I've put in a fair bit of time into it already.
