Food cooler reviews?

Post by Mooha182 » Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:21 am

I did a search and wasn't able to find out the most used, best to have, and types of coolers available for storing food. This may be due to the fact the search came up with cooler as in the temperature and not the item.

So, I am moving across town to a apartment from my town house and I am going through all of my stuff I should have and one of the items is a cooler so I can store my food for the across town trip instead of throwing it all out.

I have in the past been fond of large Coleman coolers but IMHO Coleman has gone downhill in most of them items quality. I was looking for ~50-100 quart size for the move and for use in the future. I am looking at some of the "Xtreme" coolers but the quality seems to be very bad. The Igloo "Max Cold Ultra" seems to be a bit better but I have no experience with them.

Anyone own any of these types of coolers and could give a review?

I got my cooler at a flea market. Its a Igloo and works great. Dont forget to check out consignment, thrift, surplus, and Goodwill stores before you buy new.
