FBI agent's backup blade

For those who live in areas where firearms are not an option and those that are smart enough to have a back up.

FBI agent's backup blade

Post by Storm Crow » Thu Aug 09, 2012 11:07 pm

Got this in the mail today, heading to the customer. He's an FBI agent who wanted a backup knife to wear on his left side. He liked the looks of my personal EDC work knife and wanted something similar in shape with a spray-on truck bedliner handle like it has, something I haven't done in a while. The steel is 5160.

My god man, are you trying to empty my wallet. Just when i stop the shakes over your latest and greatest you post something like this. I am afraid to ask what the cost of something like that goes for (please PM me, please, please) I would say it was a toss up between your Zombie brother knives or the warfighter set and then you give us this. Cripes I think I'm gonna have to get a second job.

As always great work. When cash flow improves, I am going to have to get a stormcrow original.

What's that agent need a hideaway knife for? To prevent papercuts?

With that being said, pretty sweet work dude.

Thank y'all!

Nightwing - My stuff's not *that* expensive! Well, the bigger stuff can get on up there, but for the average knife size, it's on par with the mid-level factory knives. PM on its way.

SRO - PM on its way as well.

RepoMan73 - I don't know that it's going to be concealed. According to him, he always carries a small fixed blade on his weak side in case he needs to get a bad guy off the sidearm on his strong side. He's been carrying a Becker Necker and wanted something custom.

Very, very nice. I've been looking for a blade for this myself.

I had about settled on an Izula as 'close enough,' but if your prices are pretty close, why not get exactly what I want?

PM me, lets talk turkey.

Nice knife for a lot of uses but rather thin in handle and wide in blade for a dedicated self defense knife for FBI.

Any knife can be deadly but there are certain things that make a knife better for combat and that is a simple handle that fills the hand easily when grabbed understress and a blade that stabs well cuts second.
I'm sorry, you must have mistaken me for a zombie that cares.

DeadCanadian - It's the design he requested. If I were to hazard a guess, it's likely going to get used for utilarian tasks a lot more than stabbing a baddy. Especially given that his previous knife in the role was a Becker Necker.
