A Few Of Mine

Post by quigleysharps4570 » Sat Jan 28, 2012 5:00 pm

I'm more of a traditional kind of guy with my knives...here are a few. Of course the bottom two see all the action.
1. Kansas Bowie...maker was Ernie Grospitch.
2. French longknife...maker was Billy Watson.
3. Drop point...Ernie Grospitch.
4. Patch knife...Billy Watson.

Doesn't look like that to me. I'll refrain from posting the other pic because I'm afraid of what GIS will turn up. Oh, and forum rules.

Thank you Blackout. Guess this was the wrong place to post pics of traditional stuff though huh? That weeping heart on that long knife has been around for a long time on weapons. Guess a good portion of folks these days aren't aware of that though. I also shoot traditional caplocks and flintlocks...that sure don't have a place here.

Sure they do: In the firearms forums. There's a fellow who posts the traditional caplocks his Dad makes, in progress and finished pics. Very well attended and drooled over threads. Beautiful rifles.

Nah, this is appropriate, you just caught some of the forum members being oafish.

Beautiful knives, I'm partial to the one second from the bottom. That wire inlay and parquet (I'm assuming) weeping heart on the longknife sure took some skill.

I hope you'll post your guns over in Firearms as well.

I like dick jokes as much as the next guy, but I also really like traditional knives, especially that one that's got a heart on...huh-huh huh huh-huh...I said "heart on."

But for serious, that's some sweet steel. I'm jealous.

Oh, and that Bowie would look great paired with a matching tomahawk.

Jeriah have you ever seen any of LC Hansens work? Beautiful hawks...expensive though.

Nice knives. One of these days I need to get a patch knife.
