made from car parts. the handle is a intrusion beam from a Equniox door and the sheet metal is from a shelf onley because sheet metal now days on car and trucks are just not that thick. im thinking this more like a dumpster grade metal. i added a spike for protecting a reat attack. it is removeable

i made this one for my buddy. just shipped it today. it was 13 pounds thats with the board i mounted it to and the shipping box. yea its a little long 44 inches from tip to end of spike. easy to dig with and you could have used it as a walking stick. the handle is ultra high strength steel. not going to bend or break. that bar can with stand a car at 30mph, im shure any thing you do to it wont matter. i loved the book and i love your guys site. any questions just ask! thanks for taking a look see.

Don't confuse a belligerent and aggressive attitude with the strength, training, and conditioning needed to prevail in a fight. How do you know you have the Will To Win, if you don't even have the will to train?

Indeed. Especially for a first draft. However, I must criticize how that handle is affixed to the blade, as it appears to be tac-welded in a few spots. If that is the case, I must suggest something more along the lines of splitting the end of the handle, flattening it some, slipping it over the blade, then having a solid, roll-of-nickles weld on the whole thing for your next build, as I believe that would lend strength in what is, admittedly, a critical, high-stress area.

But still: Excellent!

Thanks. yeah you can't see the rest of the welds. im a certified welder. I have 100% faith in it. as you might know heat "welding" will weaken the steel making it soft. if you make big old fat welds right in that one spot around the handle. Thats why your car has a buch of spot welds and not a buch of Continuous welds. Thanks for the reply guys i cant wait to see what they have in the movie. I do hope that its not a big POS :D ill be making more stuff when the mood hits me. next im going to add a beer opener to the end where the spike is, just in case u run across some stella ray :P

I forgot to add it did not spend a bunch of time on it. little over an hour all togather. I was going to paint it up nice but ran out of time, so I took a grinder to it all and then clear coated it. I needed to get it in the mail so my buddy could get it by x_miss. it will look real nice in his man cave.

Im going to have to sit down one weekend and do one up right. I was watching my back too much looking for the Boss so I wouldent get my ass in trouble  I don't think he would see it from my point of view. lol if the shit did hit the fan I bet he would be singing a differnt tune lol. I had built a copy of it for my self as i went a long I would just do 2 of every thing. the tip did not turn out like the one in the pic. its funny looking lol. little long! looks like beak. needless to say you guys wont be getting any pictures of that one! I need to find a differnt handle. The steel i used is just too damn hard to work with. hard to cut and drill. I had to replace two of my drill bits drilling the holes to mount the sucker to that board. No worries they were Mac life time replacement :D Thanks for the ideas. if their is any thing you guys would like to see on it or made differnt just let me know. ill do what i can with what i have for sheet metal tools. thats a hammer and a bench to do the bending lol

I always pictured as more of a Battle axe than an entrenching tool. Just like a double bladed battle axe with a dent, or concave in the middle to shovel with.
