I just want to say that I've seen those little mini pinschers go nuts and they're quite scary. Much faster than a human and very, very frightening. Those dogs can turn from cute to completely insane in no time at all. Also, I've personally seen that breed go into "attack humans for no apparent reason without any warning" mode before. I don't fault the OP for what he did.

Agreed. Work as a dog bather for 4 years, or any other job where the owners leave the dog for a period of time. I have proof little dogs go from 0-KILL!!! with no warning, its a lovely scar on my upper cheek, good thing I wear glasses or else I my have lost an eye. a lot of dog owners don't care to mention that their dog hates men or were beaten with garden hoses or just generally are crazy without them around.

They're actually my favorite pet and my day wouldn't be complete without my dog greeting me at the door and dancing around like an idiot waiting for me to pay attention to her. I don't hate dogs at all, even the ones that have bit me. What I really hate are dog owners that turn their dogs mean through abuse, neglect and zero socialization with both other dogs and people other than the immediate family that lives at the house as they're really the one to blame when their dog turns vicious.

A dog can either be the sweetest dog in the world or an absolute terror, but it's usually dependent on the owner as to which one it'll be.
