weeks after the zombie apocalypse set into place your find your self outside of a dead city atlanta maybe? but long storie short your out of resources you have a city in front of you and your fully aware of the danger and wealth of resources that awaits inside but what would you do?

I wouldn't be out of resources after a couple weeks, and anyone venturing into the giant firefight that the cities would be to loot will be shot for his effort.

yeah same while after 30 days i might be out of coffee. No way am i going in to the city.

looting is not a survival plan. If plan A involves strapping on your WASR-10 and wandering into the ghetto you better have a damn good plan B

I think looting (while not actively discussed on this board) is last for when all official government and law enforcement falls or is no longer globally recognised. It wouldn't just be for America, or in my case the UK, to no longer have a President (or PM) and soemthing would seriously of had to go wrong there I imagine.

Until that time, I plan to be able to live off the land around me and what supplies I have. This is an ideal though, and I'll be the first to tell you that I am no where near prepared for this situation. By the end of next year I should be in a comfortable position though and have tested out some gear of mine. The 21st of December 2012 should be a good target!
