Your "Death" song.

I'm new here, so if this doesn't belong here, please move it.

Anyway, in a SHTF situation, I would always carry an iPod and portable speakers. Partially for enjoyment, and partially to play that one song I always had planned to play at that moment when I think I'm pretty much screwed. Stick it on and go out takin big mouthfuls of rum with guns blazing. Anyway, my song for the inevitable is Bad Moon Rising by CCR.

"Staying Alive" by the Bee Gees. Alternatively Elton John's "I'm still standing".

Sort of a song that I used to pump me up for what I thought would be a beatdown I'd be taking. Decided to finally stand up to the town bully who decided to get his friends together in front of my house. I took my lanky 14 year old self, tied my shoes extra tight, grabbed a roll of quarters, blasted this, then went outside and started swinging the second he opened his mouth. I ended up walking away unscathed. I attribute it to the song and the accompanying rage.

Haven't needed the song in 20 years.

Its not the song, it's what gives you your war face and courage to follow through.

Close second, also played it that night:

The whole reason that I'm a prepper is not to get into that situation. I guess if I had to choose such a song, it would have to be "One" by Metallica.

I liked everyone's picks here. Though that Elton John video was probroby the gayest thing I've ever seen.

There is a zombie killing song thread, but this is enough different I reckon.

If I die a hero's death and I'm single, Johnny Cash: Solitary Man

Yes someone awesome may have done this already

If I die a hero's death and I felt like a bad ass, Machinae Supremacy: Dark City

If I die a hero's death but I feel regretful about some shit, Hayley Westenra: Summer Fly

When i die i want to be cremated and i want the song "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas played at my remembrance.

But if i want a song to play in the heat of battle during a paw then "Hammer to Fall" by Queen.

And just wondering around during a ZPAW i would want "Mad World" By Michael Andrews.

But if i win a battle agenst the hords of undead i think i will play "Still Alive" from the Half Life 2: Orange Box soundtrack.

"Life During Wartime" Talking Heads. A good beat for fighting or running away.

Since I know it will my death during battle, I'd probably want something more epic, Wagner's Die Valkyre or Tchaikofsky's 1812 overture. Better to die on an upbeat note, so maybe Beethoven's Ode to Joy.

Probably Manowar's Sons of Odin

Or Battle Hymns. My favourite Manowar song of all time.

It would need to be Warrior then Indestrucible played right after it, both by Distrubed.

However if this is my death song, and I happen to die I would want the following played at my funeral

First thing that came to mind:

Beyond that, Amon Amarth,
"Johnny we Hardly Knew Ya" by Dropkick Murphys,
"Escape", either the Metallica Original, or the Hatebreed cover,
"Alone I Break" by KoRn.

That's what I got off the top of my head....
