Stuck in the Middle

Post by Maj.Exec » Wed Aug 17, 2005 9:34 pm

So, taking this from one of the poorer zombie movies as of recent, if, like in RE 2, you get trapped in the city surrounded by both zombies and humans alike what do you do?

Do you spend your time wandering the city looking for help or other survivors? Do you try and find a way out? What about hunkering down and riding it out, assuming there is no air strike inbound?

To kick 'er off, I'm gonna have to say, I sit tight and wait for the shit to blow over. Although that is porbably optimistic, it's what I'm ready for as of right now.

This scenario is obviously hypothetical although try to answer with your current supplies in mind. [/i]
They're coming to get you Barbara...

If it's just the one town that's infected I'd get the hell out. You KNOW that city is going to be destroyed.

If I am trapped in this city and am a non-resident then I will most likely only have what I carry in my vehicle to survive. I would try to hole up somewhere for a day or so to assess the situation and see if things calm down, but my ultimate goal woul be to get the hell out of Dodge.

I think a better question is "what would you do if you were in an infested city without supplys?"

Assuming they don't have any of thier "other" critters then I wouldn't be too afraid of walking out, but I would by far prefer driving. I'd just get the hell out of there.

Well being I own my own house, I would probably hunker down as long as I could. I would probably be in my garage, it's larger and more secure than my house. That's where I keep most of my supplies and when I have to bug out I would be all loaded up and ready to go. At least I hope so...

If that happened, my priorities would be arranged thusly:

1: acquire vehicle

2: get the hell outta there.
The courts have determined me to be a danger to myself & others... They're right, but for the wrong reasons.

1: get a vehicle
2: grab some supplies
3: torch as much of the city as possable
4: leave

I'd have to say that I'd gather up all of my supplies, and as quietly as possible get the hell out of dodge...

Ugh I cant stand RE. But to answer the question. Assuming the surrounding humans arent the Umbrella Corp. Id get to the quarentine line as soon as possible waving a bright pearly white flag and waving so as not to be confused with a shambler. This os of course assuming that vehiclular transportation is not an option for one of many conceivable reasons. But the quarentining force would be my first objective. Failing that or if they dont exist then its get the hell out of dodge time.

I'd watch RE and RE: Apocolypse back to back.

...it'd be about as bad as alcohol poisoning and asphyxiation on your own vom, followed by a painful death and a trip to hell.

Those movies are so bad it hurts.

3 isn't that good, while it would torch some zombies but it would also torch some of the few remaining people smart enough to survive that long.

Oh, you're not alone. Loved RE and REII also thought DOTD 2004 was better than the original.

People actually watch those crappy movies. The RE movies where horrible comparied to the games. And this is coming from a Resident Evil HardCore Fan. So anyways back to the topic...... Yeah if this was the only town infected i would just get the hell out of there as fast and quiet as possible. But if the whole country was infected I guess i have nothing better to do then try to find someone who can fly a plane/helecopter and drive to someplace in the rockey mountains.
I'll be there when you need me, and when I die I'll watch over you. I Promise
