If the time comes that you should need to utilize these two items, I demand that you put on a Cocksparrer album while doing so. It seems awesomely appropriate.

As we run into the house
The wall of dead surrounds
Tentacles of decay flesh
Tear and pull us down
Doors and windows boarded shut
But the pressure was too much
Zombie I, girl please run away

No need to make a dent, just keep them ducking.

The .38, and a fishing pole. Actually, I would be terrified of someone swinging a fishing lure at me...maybe even moreso than the gun. :gonk:

I don't think you're supposed to have all that stuff with you at the ATM...
'course that's one place you're more likely to need it...

Well at this very moment I am lying in bed posting from my phone but, my side of the bed is probably the best place to be in the house if there were suddenly a threat.
Let's see, within 1foot of me is my shotgun 12ga, 4 in the tube 1 in the chamber it leans up against the head board, 2 and 1/2 feet away sitting on the floor where I can simply lower my arm from sleeping and grab them are: my ka-bar usmc fighting knife, police baton ( Tonfa style baton) and a 3d cell maglite. So I'm fairly well off right this second. :D :D

I'm in my bedroom getting ready to tuck in for the night. I've got my .38 special revolver loade & with 3 speedloaders next to me. And a couple more boxes of ammo. Under the bed is a 9mm Sig ready to go with 2 spare mags. There's a .22LR target pistol in the range bag about 3 feet away along with 500 rounds for that. 3 mags loaded. T-Ball bat also under the bed. My leatherman tool. A can of OC spray and a couple of really bright LED flashlights that also have the serrations on them to use as weapons if needed. Also 2 big protective dogs between me and the door. Hubby took the .45 with him. But I feel fairly safe here by myself.
We have AR15 coming in this week. My biggest wish would be for one f those Star Wars Light Sabers - could kick some zombie butt (head) with one of those for sure.

on hand right now is the following

M4 with 210 rounds 5.56mm 10 feet away
Berreta M9 with 45 rounds on my belt right now
IOTV with the newest aproved plates
ACH
A knife on my belt that is so sharp that it will fillet you open like a vagina
and finally
my Oracle 24watt HID flashlight... i'll burn the eyeballs outta there head with that flashlight

if i was in my office, I would have 11000 rounds of 5.56mm, 7500 rounds of 7.62mm with a M240B, and 3000 rounds of .50cal with an M2.

ATM I would defend myself with an atlas. The collection of maps, not the Titan.
