Photography thread?

Post by mr. right-wing » Tue Nov 13, 2007 4:19 pm

I just had an idea for a thread on photography. I figure for the price some people spend on Cameras it damn well is an art form. ANYWHO! Ill start with pictures that are relaveat to the site, and if it blossoms out, Ill post more categories. Anywho, this was a picture from the Nellis Airshow, but I figured this looksed like something from an apocalyptic scene:

Thanks sharkchild! It's one of my favorites too. Fall colors are amazing. Do you have any pictures?

Wow, we're all pretty decent with the camera! :D God, I took that photography course in college, which was like... 12 years ago? Yikes. I oughta digitize some of that stuff.

To put up pics, go to imageshack.us and upload a photo, then grab the url, come back and put it in between [img]photourlgoeshere[/img] tags.

Thanks! I really loved that first one you posted, it's a little surreal almost. Also, the angel is lovely. There is one place I always love to go with my camera, and it's the cemetery. I've spent many a cold, rainy day crouched in the doorway of an old tomb, snapping pictures.

Cemeteries are great for honing your skills. They are also one of my favorite places to go to clear my head.

That patio picture was taken during the 3:30a-4:30a time frame. Something about that period of the night that does strange things to light.

Yeah, it was St. Maarten. Pretty awesome. I wish I had been able to to to the airport there, because the runway threshold is literally 30 feet from the beach, resulting in photo opportunities like this
