ZS Membership - time to take effect?

I realize it's a volunteer organization and when I paid for membership, it clearly spelled out for me to allow 6-8 weeks for membership to take effect. The only reason I'm posting this is because I paid back on April 14th and it's been 11 weeks now. On the 9th week, I e-mailed the admin address and asked if there might have been a problem, but I never got a response. I paid via paypal and thought I'd have my badge by now or at least have my avatar status upgraded to 'member' status. Since I haven't received a response from the admins, can anyone recommend another way of trying to figure this out?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am right there with you. Just emailed the moderators last week. I have had no response either.

Be patient, they are volunteers, and mostly recovering from ZCon right now. I waited three months or more because I joined right before the ZS History channel special (we averaged triple our normal forum-user load for like a week straight). The admins care, and they should get back to you, but as I understand there are a lot of renewals and new joins right now.

I finally paid up a few weeks ago so I can act as interim chapter president for ZSC:014. I hope the chapter doesn't fold before my paperwork clears.

Has any thought been given to recruiting some more SZC:001 peeps to help expedite the processing and clear the backlog?

I saw that thread but it seemed to have turned into pointless mudslinging.

I did a quick look around the Ask ZS area and saw this thread which is 1. Current and 2. On topic.
Figured its as good a place as any to make a constructive suggestion.
I am by no means bitching about the delay....

That it did, but the specific post I linked was from whisk.e.rebellion and noted that they are again behind and apologized for it. If you were to go to the Membership page now there is a note about having a new membership app system online in mid-July.

Apparently, they are working pretty hard at it since I have my status upgrade to member now. Thanks guys for putting the effort forth... I guess a guy eats some bath salts and suddenly there's a membership rush because everyone wants to find out how to survive the zombie apocalypse.

I took a moment to review the site and haven’t been able to find a location or destination for requests to start new chapters. My name is Kyle Corry and I'm from Columbus Ohio (Central Ohio) and want to start a chapter here. Become involved with the community while providing people with an understanding of how to survive should the inevitable occur. If you could point me in the direction of whom I need to request permission from to not only carry the name (responsibly, as we are serious) but attract members I'd greatly appropriate it!
