resale- Ammo cans

Postby Isheian » Fri May 04, 2012 2:42 pm

Just throwing this idea out there. I can get ahold of about 150 of either 5.56mm or 40mm military ammo cans. Now i dont want that many obviously but i would be willing to snag them if i could re sell them. What size, and for how much would people be willing to buy them for?

Ammo cans around here tend to run $15 and under for .50cal, $10 and under for .30 cal. You can buy new .50cal cans online for about $14 plus s/h.

So, are the cans you're looking at new, or used?

You might do better selling them if you offered a value added feature such as a custom paint job.

To my knowledge used. I was thinking of doing a lot buy from goverment liquidation.com, and trying to resale for a profit. Finding employment isnt working to well, so I figured it's time to try and make money on my own. Looking at getting an FFL and undercut my local FFL holders, trying the resale thing. Of course i could also get the military 3-in-1 sleep systems and sell them for about $100+ S/H. Hence the question (answered thank you) about the price ya'll would be willing to pay. And the military bags are pretty decent, if bulky and bit on the heavy side. Used one in Korea in the middle of winter in an unheated building during training without much of an issue. Oh yeah, I'm a recently retired (medical) army sergeant EOD tech of 5 years.

I could also get a couple of these USMC MARPAT Improved Load Bearing Equipment Main Pack and sell them for about $50. So what do y'all say? What would ya'll be interested in?
