1 dead, 3 wounded, shooter captures alive. Rat f*** was your prototypical alt-right hater. :vmad: He claimed credit for a recent mosque arson, and had a manifesto filled with the usual "They will not replace us" rhetoric. The news is reporting that an off duty border patrol officer took a shot at him, and that congregation members "engaged him". Whether engaged just referred to the officer, or he was getting pelted by prayer books and folding chairs, I don't know. But, IMHO, shooting back probably cut the body count by a lot.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nat ... 605339002/

some local news, nothing against the Brits, but I prefer US news from local (same city if possible) sources.

San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit said that as one of his officers was on the way to the shooting at Chabad of Poway, he overheard on the scanner that the suspect had called into police, saying "he was just involved in this shooting" and giving his location along Interstate 15.

AND

Gore said officials were working to verify the posting's authenticity and did not offer details on any motive. But the letter supposedly details the shooter's hateful motivations and his reasons for targeting members of the Jewish faith.

In the letter, posted on an online text storage site called Pastebin, the author identified himself as a 19-year-old nursing student with the same name as the suspect.

Fairly lengthy story at the linked site - no paywall.

The suspect was also linked to an earlier arson attempt against a mosque.

The role played by Internet forums in radicalizing the shooter and propagating his manifesto, and those of other far-right mass shooters, is likely to come under intense scrutiny.

The Baltimore shooting had nothing to do with churches. Nothing.

near a church - yes. A closed church that had nothing to do with a BBQ

At least one person was dead and seven others were injured Sunday following a shooting during a cookout in Baltimore, officials said.

Authorities responded to a reported shooting just after 5 p.m. in 2500 block of Edmonson Avenue, in the city's western district, Baltimore Police spokesperson Chakia Fennoy confirmed to Fox News.

AND

Local TV7 - Police department spokeswoman Chakia Fennoy said authorities received a call shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday reporting that multiple people had been shot.

Fennoy said one of the victims has died but that she had no information about the conditions of the others.

The shooting happened on a street in the western part of the city.

Seems BBQ related shooting in Baltimore are common

That is a slow Sunday for Baltimore.
You go 'round and around it
You go over and under
I go through
