How well would archery work as a silent weapon? Flaming arrow are a no no and exploding tips are not allowed to be discussed. A zombies head is a pretty small target. But what poundage would you need to pierce a skull? And what would be the best broad head to use?

30 pounder and up will do the duty, depending on range.

Broadheads suck on skulls, go field point.

Including threads on the effectiveness of bows, bow recommendations for a newbie, improving your archery and very detailed threads on how to make your own bows, bow string and arrowheads.

Crossbow FTMFW. I like my compound bow, it would be good if you were trying to sneak like on the rooftops, but I would rather be loud with a 12 guage on the streets, I wouldnt even plan on leaving my BIL unless it was life or death.
