A lot of people die of head injuries the same way they die after being shot with a .22 - long after the fight's over. You can take a ferocious head shot and still walk and talk, but end up posturing an hour later, or wake up dead the next morning.

Which, really, reaffirms my opinion that decapitation is the way to go in a ZPAW. But that's a topic for another thread.
Chop off the head. Works with everything else, doesn't it?

Actually it takes only 6psi. Kosta Tsipis in his book understanding Nuclear Weapons used findings from government cold war atomic bomb studies and their effects to report this. Honestly I forget how close the subjects were to the detonation in order to achieve this devestation.

No it isn't. 15 pounds of force isn't 15PSI unless it's distributed evenly over one square inch. If it's concentrated on only 1/100 square inch, then the pressure would be 1500PSI. That would hurt.

I think if it was 15psi, I could generate that by pressing my thumbs on each side of me head, as hard as I can. See... it's not doing anythiojmklk;'ll546tugyikjilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmkl./////////////////////////

See, Maldon, I can't tell if you gave yourself a stroke, or if that's from elbow-typing. Ya know, since you're pressing your hands against your head.

I'm ok, my thumb went right in, like it was a ripe mellon, but it didn't really hurt, whatever! But seriously, I think I can exert 15psi that way, and it did nothing... thumb tips are probably around 1" sq, yeah? I will go test with a scale on the side of my head & see, then measure the thumb "foot print".

EDIT: So yeah, I can do 15lb. pressure, by thumbs, on the sides of my head. Tested by holding a lightweight scale on the side of my head, had the wife read it, unfortunately it goes EEEEEE at 13lb, but I easily reached that & had more in reserve. Then I measured my thumb-print, it is under 1" sq, so any measured pressure is over the "per square in." requirement... It hurts a little, and is probably 20psi or so, no crack sounds, no headaches... And this is right around the temple, where (I have heard) it is thiner than elsewhere... Not sure if this disproves it, but it was fun!
