The destination? My S&W 617 (.22LR revolver); the finish on the R1 should be a great match for the stainless steel on the revolver.
I've been wanting to put a red-dot on this for awhile, and this is much more than a Fastfire or other lesser "micro red-dot".
Ha. You almost had me shaking like a crackhead to put another one on my beautiful little flower of a Mitchell High Standard .22 pistol (in stainless with gold accents of course), but I got to thinking that it would be a waste. I can't justify a genuine Aimpoint Micro on a cherished plinker .22 LR. If the gun you're putting it on isn't something you'd take into a firefight, or even would drop on cement to prove a point (like Focker mentioned), then WTF would I be putting a sight on it that can handle that?
That's overkill even I can't justify. Does anyone know if the Primary Arms knockoff is paralax-free? This sight was made for shiny and very boomy revolvers. I think I saw a favorable review of it from someone that put it on his S&W 500 or something.
Hell I already ended up with two AIM sights for Christmas (a red dot and a 3X ACOG-esque thing) that I need to figure out what to do with, and I think Rimfire will be their new homes.
Still wish I could get another though. Put one on my Sig 556, one on my AMD 65 on an Ultimak. Or one on my "No Compromises (other than the shitty AGP "ZS" lower it's based off of)" AR build.
ETA: They still have them in stock as of this post. That's longer than I thought. They'd better sell out soon before I do something stupider
