Hello All

If you are following the bush crafters on Youtube, you‘ve probably seen the stainless steel bottle with cup that nests on the bottom of the bottle.

Though it’s heavy for my neck of the woods (or cactus, I live in Southern Arizona), I thought that the set needs something to hold it together and keep everything together as well as not weigh a ton. What I came up with works pretty good

I call it a cook kit. In this package it has: a 32 oz. Stainless steel bottle, a 20 oz, cup with handles, A Sea-to-summit spork, two Esbit tablets, a book of matches, a piece of aluminum foil (for a pot lid), a non slippery sock, (it gives you something to clean the cup with, and gives someinsulation).A regular sock or Maxpedition 10 x 4 pouch will work. I’m able to get water to boil in less than 5 minutes in 50 degree weather. This system keeps everything you need together

Nice set up. I use something similar with the SnoPeak mini solo titanium cook kit. I also use the larger Maxpedition pouch the 12x5. It allows me to stuff things like tea bags, coffee packets, sugar packets etc in the pouch.

A sock............Makes perfect sense, good for a storage bag and for a cleaning rag.
That will be added to my kit. There should be a few dozen mismatched socks around here somewhere. Thanks for the idea.
Nice looking kit! My only question is, what's the total weight?

I got the Tri-Ti 3 fuel Caldera stove from Trail Designs, and love it. Of course after buying it I learned how easy it would be to DIY one. The Caldera stove design is a great way to go. Nesting a cup and SS water bottle is also a very popular and good way to do a minimal cook kit. Or as some of the Brits call them a brew kit, as it tends to be more oriented to making a quick cup of warm beverage than cooking up a meal.

My "cooking" in the outdoors tends to be boil water, pour into bag, wait 5 and then eat. BBut I have seen videos where people were cooking a steak as well as bacon and eggs on their Caldera.
