I have been using this RedRock sling pack I bought for $18 and it finally started falling apart on me after about 6 months

China has quite a bit of prison labor, unless I'm mistaken...

*Citation needed* on those back packs made in prisons in USA.
I can send you many nice citations discussing the 4,000,000 man prisoner labor force in use in China today. Most of whom work in dangerous jobs like mining or ore refinement with minimum safety standards (or none).

No judgment here, just noted that your first bag was $18, so I'm assuming you're on a budget. It has been my brief experience that you will rarely regret stretching the budget the first time.

My point was that made in the USA is not a mark of quality.

There a lot of local custom messenger bag companies in the US - Black Star (Portland) is one that comes to mind. Not sure if they'd be up to do one wiht something specifically for a gun but you could always email them and ask.
