This is my current day hike setup for my kifaru G1 scout.

On the back of the pack is a BFG Helium Whisper medium horizontal pouch (coyote brown) and above that is an emdom baby util pouch (greenish). The BFG helium whisper pouch is pretty much new so I'm trying it out. So far so good; we'll see about the longevity of it as it gets broken in.

I've been using the emdom pouch as a place to put small items that I don't need immediate access to, but don't want to search through my main pack for.

On the left side I use a TT small radio pouch to hold my garmin rino gps/radio, and a ATS baton pouch for my "stray dog insurance". I've been using the baton pouch for a while now and have been eying up an HSGI model. I feel like the retention on this ATS one is too much. Maybe it's because I have the padded handle baton.

On the right side on my belts I always have a TT 1H. It's cheap and has worked well for me. This is where I keep my multitool, flashlight, energy packs, etc.
Onto the inside...
You can see there's a good amount of space left in the top of the pack. This is where I'll add my rations for the day, extra bottles, etc. I have two L&L's linked together (thanks to Mel's posts a while back). This works great.

Here's the contents laid out, sans L&L's hung from loops. Water bottle for the K-9 (hydration + make-shift toy if need be), hygiene kit, personal hydration, light + fire kit and FAK.

Pulling the L&L's out. The top mesh L&L holds 2 pullouts. One containing cordage and the other containing some emergency food.

And the bottom L&L holds my emergency cookware, emergency shelter and kifaru meat baggie.

That's basically it. Hopefully this is useful to someone.
