OK, spoke to my Park Ranger buddy last night...Here's the deal.

The pitcher pump had been removed out at Bee Island, since they tested the water a while back and it came back positive for some kind of bacteria or something. That's why your map shows no water available at Bee Island. It's since been replaced, but they tell everyone it's not safe for human consumption for liability reasons. If you treat all your water with Chlorine Dioxide you should be ok. Keep in mind, that's only my advice/suggestion...this is your trip, and it's your safety we're discussing, so ultimately it's your call. As I mentioned before, Bee Island primitive camp is situated along the edge of a hammock/swamp, so you may be able to find water in a low spot if you don't want to trust the pitcher pump.

He also said they've been pretty dry out there recently, so it's always a good idea to pack in more water than you think you'll need. Better to have it along with you, than to need it and not be able to find it on the trail.

Hope that helps with your planning.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

It does I appreciate the input... I went ahead and attached the mss. Carrier, and between the 2 of us we will be carrying almost 3 gal of water in... probably will go through the bee island site to get out of the sugar sand... looks like low 70's during the day so that will help too, and 40's at night so I might need some extra clothes to layer...

Also the overnight with my son didn't happen he got the poopsies, so that was a no go, he is feeling better tho so its all good...
