My Mini EDC/GHB/E&E Bag

Postby silent0093 » Wed Jul 27, 2011 8:05 pm

Here is my EDC bag, a free similac diaper bag.
Also might double as a mini-GHB or E&E when I get more gear.
I live about 20 miles from work & am hoping to get a under 10 lb. Xootr scooter to speed up my route home.
I am working on a bigger GHB to keep in the car and also the at home BOB plus INCH components.

-CONTENTS-
- Nalgene water bottle
- small food kit, I keep mostly snack type bars which need no prep
- Mini IFAK EDC Tool Kit - viewtopic.php?f=43&t=81957#p1811690
- lightweight rain jacket and pants
- mechanic gloves
- xtra socks
- cell chargers
- mini-mp3/radio player and headphones - uses 1 AAA
- bag-of-quarters
-micro multi tool knife
- mini notebook with a pen/pencil
- 8gb usb flash drive -Music/photos/movz
- 3 dice
-Brunton monocular
-2 AAA batt's and earplugs

-SOMETIMES THROW IN-
-HDMX powered speakers - 2 AA batt's
- water proof deck of cards
- Charge ALX w/ 2 extra AA batt's & driver bit
-xtra LED headlamp
I'm not sure about weight but it's not too bad. maybe 12 lbs. max?
All this and still room for a fifth of Jack Daniels...

I plan on modding the bag to have a stabilizer strap shown. Any suggestions?

=EDC=
HTC tough pro 2 & belt clip- 8GB microSD with tons of music, 3mp camera, WIFI browsing and movie capable, no service but I carry it for the tech goodies.
samsung - straight talk cheap phone
both car key sets.
Preon 2 S2 LED light - 2 AAA with strobe and flash features. I love it.
Rajah II
Kershaw Chill
Pen/lead pencil
bandana

And of course PX4 9mm with optional TLR-2s (not shown)
still need a good holster, thinking of Raven's = http://www.ravenconcealmentsystems.com/ ... 87e229cdf0

That bag looks utterly craptastic. My first suggestion would be to get something better.

If you really want to add a stabilizing strap, open the seam with an X-Acto or similar blade and stitch it in. Easy. It'll likely be more rugged sewing than anything else on that bag.

If you have a proper Multi-Tool, why bother with that little one?

What's the deal with that Rajah II?

I can dig it, craptastic, but free. Soon as some cash flow is available, times are tough, job going downhill. 3 little girls to take care of. Thinking of a Maxpedition one day.
Thanks for the tip, I wasn't going to cut it open but will
The little knife, I guess could go... but I like it...
The Rajah II, thats for cutty, stabby, slashy purposes. Why? The abuse videos on youtube sold me on it as a SD knife. Do folks here have a problem with it? Also VA CC legal.

no problems just an unusual choice is all, how do you carry it does it fit in a pocket or do you have to put in in your waistband?
As we run into the house
The wall of dead surrounds
Tentacles of decay flesh
Tear and pull us down
Doors and windows boarded shut
But the pressure was too much
Zombie I, girl please run away

When I feel the need, I take the Rajah II, IWB preferred but if the front pockets rarely. Although trying to carry a Px4 IWB isn't as easy as my Ruger SR9c, which is on loan to my dad. Firepower vs mobility I guess. It's getting heavy with all that.

This little bag is so light weight, I am just going to throw it in my complete B.O.B./INCH bag if needed and use it for day hikes / assaults / foraging / hunts from base camp. While the total INCH bag should be light enough to run with at full speed. Because you never truly own anything unless you can run with it on your back at full speed. Or something like that. ahha

go px4!
Repression provokes rebellion.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I never fit in. That's my role in life, to be the outcast.

Bags and backpacks ABOUND at your local Goodwill and Salvation Army. I haven't seen any yet over $10 and that includes Camelbaks and Piper SOC Bug Out Bags..you can even buy the grey man special "Jansport" which goes for $3.99 or so in my area. :D
