Here it is: 5.11 Rush 24, Rocky C4T, Oakley Pilot gloves, and a solar G-Shock. I actually had to buy it for my new job. I enlisted in the army as a 11B. I figure this gear could cross over as bug out gear even though I won't be bugging out now.
From a fellow active duty member, thanks for choosing to serve. You'll actually get issued most of that gear, but, hey, you can never have too much! I have 6 pairs of brand new boots in the attic gathering dust...LOL!

I bought a OSHA industrial vehicle FAK ($35)...not that I don't have more than enough FAK items, but it came in a nice metal container, and had some unique FAK stuff, like a bottle of eye-wash solution. Just need to add a couple of things to round it out, like oral rehydration salts, compact headlamp. handheld light, ammonia vials, CPR mask, etc. Also bought a 24' foot roll of burlap ($12) for some camouflage projects I have going on.

Yeah I'm just not a fan of some of the gear that I've been issued. I was told to come back with a military style backpack by my commander so I had to get that. Everything else I got because I like good quality, nothing against what we are issued.

Went to the REI Garage sale Saturday, picked up 2 pairs of pants(1 Columbia, 1 Kuhl), a pair of wool blend gloves from OR, and a basically new pair of hiking sticks from Leki. all for under $100. Made out like a thief :D

The 2 3/4" short lane 20 gauge to 12 gauge chamber adapters are now back in stock. I ordered one of those, and a 3" 20 gauge to .22lr adapter. Between this stuff and the large pathfinder adapter I already have I will be able to shoot 12, 20 & .22 out of my h&r. I will also be able to shoot .22 out of my mother in laws' 20 gauge. I also ordered 60 of those soda bottle preforms. I'm sure ill be able to find a few uses. I've been looking into picking up some pool shock as a liquid bleach alternative for water purification and these seem like they'd be dandy fine containers. (They will be marked VERY clearly) Of course I won't be able to find the chemicals locally till spring, but that's ok. I'm not in a rush.

Got this the other day. The S.O.L. (Survive Outdoors Longer) kit.

Ordinarily it's $30-something bucks, but I found it on sale and also used a gift certificate that I got for Christmas.

Now that I have cashed in my man card and bought an Honda Odyssey mini-van for the wife. I figured it was time to upgrade the roadside/earthquake bag we kept in the trunk of the old car (Honda Accord). I am going to replace it with a rolling box. I found this one on Amazon and really like the design. It seems like it will hold up fairly well. Now that we have a kid I will have space to add things he will need.

I needed a new pack for my day hike kit, which is also an integral part of my personal BOB/GHB. Picked up this Outbound 35L pack. It's a pretty simple pack, but so far I really like it.

35# limbs for my Samick Sage, already had 50# limbs but got the lower # for practice. No need to work too hard just playing around keeping in practice, and it gives me an extra set in case something happens to my 50# set along with allowing me to keep my 50# limbs stored in my INCH pack for fast grab and go.

A BCUSA Coyote 12' X 10' tarp.

A BRKT Aurora with Ironwood handle and mosaic pins. I got it from DLTs Ebay account rather than their website.
I also picked up a semi matching ironwood (burl instead of grain) firesteel for the Aurora from DLTs website.

A field leather hone kit from KnivesShipFree. It has a leather strop green and black compound and 400, 600, 1000, 1500 and 2000 Grit Sandpaper (4 pieces of each) in a S3 Dry Box to serve as a base and storage/carry.

Also ordered but haven't received yet a folding titanium fork and spoon.

Camillus cuda folding knife. I had one of the USA made ats34 ones back around 01 or 02. I've been eyeing the $30 Chinese reissue for a little while now. Walmart had them on clearance for $20 so I bought the three they had left. It seems about the same as I remember. I understand that the aus8 steel is not quite as nice a steel as the older version.

This knife design is a little controversial and it seems the early Chinese versions had serious quality control issues. This one seems sound. I'll try EDCing it for a while and see how it goes.

Building a First Aid kit for my competition shooting/range belt. I have a first aid kit in my truck, home and BOB. Just wanted one for when I go shooting to have on hand. I decided on the Maxpedition FR-1 for the bag. Also grabbed 3 CAT Tourniquets to put in the various FA kits.
