Hi everybody. Biff here. Thanks for your concern. Here's the short form:

— Teenage nephew comes to stay at Biff Manor for two weeks while nephew's parents are out of town.

— Biff finds nephew's "stash" (without even looking, mind you.) Violation of pre-set ground rules. Biff flushes stash. Nephew is furious.

— Nephew's laptop fries and nephew is unable to do schoolwork. Biff lends nephew his laptop, erroneously believing there's nothing on the laptop that would represent a vulnerability. Biff has to leave town on business for a few days, without his laptop.

— Nephew finds browser history, and discovers laptop is still logged in to ZS.

— Aware of Biff's proud allegiance to ZS, and with a thirst for revenge after the flushing of his stash, nephew SYSTEMATICALLY DELETES ALL OF BIFF'S ZS POSTS. More than 900 f-ing posts. If nothing else, I gotta admire his determination. The little bastard even deleted my avatar!

— Biff comes home from trip. Surfs to ZS to find PMs waiting asking why I went postal and deleted all my posts.

If that kid ever spends the night here again I swear I'm going to glue his head to his pillow while he sleeps! I'm going to piss in that brat's Ovaltine. I will make him PAY!

akraven, I will try to reconstitute the Crusader Cooker Pepsi can stove how-to.

Maybe Pete or Kyle can help? Admin powers, forum back ups and all that stuff?

HOLY CRAP!

Biff, I'm very glad you're all right. It must suck to be your nephew right now. I hope you gave both him and his parents an earful (at least).

Biff, before anything else I'd like to say I'm glad I didn't say anything impolitic that made you decamp. I was worried for a second.

Your young relative needs some serious big-boy wall-to-wall counseling. First, for not obeying reasonable rules. Second, for getting caught like a n00b. Third, for fucking with your computer after you agreed to let him use it. Fourth, and most importantly, for destroying a very well-organized and useful body of work product that you've graciously shared with us.

Is there any hope for the twerp? Can will his caning be televised?

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Now that the shock of it has worn off, I have to say that I am impressed by the ingenuity the kid showed. He exacted his revenge, however unjustified, in a very measured way. He didn't key my car, or steal anything, or "accidentally" drop the laptop. He didn't cause any physical damage, or any damage that could constitute a monetary loss. He found something of no monetary value, but of great emotional value to me, and took it away.

If I seem too blasé about this, it's only because "proportional revenge" was something of a hobby of mine decades ago when I was a mean little prick. (Ah, youth.)

He's already had the worst punishment possible inflicted upon him. His cell phone has been confiscated. There will be no caning, and hence no telecast (but it would make a great pay-per-view event.) Instead I'll be building a 3'x3'x3' corrugated steel hot box to keep him in the next time he stays with us. Maybe I'll put a web cam in there so you all can watch him soil himself.

lmfao @ the jerk.

Wow. Post pics of your revenge.

Glad you didn't leave in a huff like the immediate assumption was. Hopefully the re-posting of your valuable posts may expose good information to people who hadn't seen it yet.

Amen, thats all I carried for cooking at the Texas Bug Out and it was not found lacking. I have an alcohol stove that works with mine (THANKS CHEF!!) but normally carry Esbit tabs for hiking.

You're welcome, Hachiman. 8)

Glad to know Heineken stoves work with the Crusader setup, since I want a Crusader setup.
