Description: Minimalist design makes this lightweight pocket-size tool the perfect companion when you just want the basics. The Artifact features an exchangable/removable #11 hobby blade, cross driver, small and medium flat drivers, wire stripper, pry bar/paint can opener and lanyard/keychain attachment hole. Simplicity is timeless. Includes 3 replacement blades and blade holder. MSRP $13.76. Our Price: $ 10.95

I found this little beauty the other day in Target, and just had to have one.

So far it's pretty cool, the phillips head sucks for anything besides tiny screws. I've yet to try out the other functions on it, but all in all it's a nifty little peice of kit.

Cute little multi-tool...I may add it to my next order from:

http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... ?s=GB01770

where it is on sale for $9.95...

Just the thing if you've never got cash in your pocket when Peter Atwood actually has any of his nifty gadgets in stock...

Perfect, I might get one of those. Looks smaller and lighter than my Shortcut.

My youngest boy EDC's one of the Artifacts and he seems to find a new use for it every day. He had to have me remove the blade for now because the local school district would freak out if a child had a knife on him and someone found out. But for what its worth he wouldnt be caught out of the house without it, says its one of the coolest light weight tools he has ever used and plans on buying another one for his "zombie" bag. YMMV but it gets two thumbs up from a 11 yr old prep nut!

Holy shit.... another rip off of Peter Atwood designs.... AND a bad one at that! (no offense to you who spent money on it, you like the design because P.Atwood came up with it!!!)

Peter is such a great guy... just to get his ideas ripped off. -

When I showed my wife the Prybar XL - she tried to get me one X-mas few years ago... he was sold out, he went and made more just to get it out the door in a day so it made it here on time. Didn't charge extra or anything.

He is probly one of the best custom 'knife'ish' guys out there. He makes one of a kinds, to small batches of just crazy 'gotta have items.... . Accepts Ideas for new designs and gives credit, etc

No his stuff isn't $10... it's more and worth everybit. Hell he tells you the type of steel, and the hardness ratings.

Too bad he never has stuff for sale.

I'll take the gerber because it's a pocket prybar and I can actually get it.

Just picked one up today; my local Target has started carrying them in the sporting goods section. It was $9.99.

I will work this into my EDC for a while and see how often it gets pulled out; at very least it will have a place in my EDC bag so I don't need to pry things with the large screwdriver on my Leatherman anymore...

I think I'd carry it more often if it had a real blade and not this dinky hobby one.

Edit: Anyone know how to make a replacement for it?

This is on my list of things to buy.

While I'm not wild about the exacto blades, as some one pointed out earlier, this means that you can still carry this tool on your person even when flying.

Needs a belt clip so it doesn't just fall to the bottom of your pocket.

Good point, that would be more useful then the small key ring loop.

That is, if I was looking for something like this.

That's my problem too - most of his inventory is impossible to get. I don't feel like entering a "lottery" to win the privilege of giving someone my money, and lately many of the lottery pieces are crazy expensive because they're made of super-rare Unobtanium Composite. ($225 for a talonite Mini Prything?!?!)

Peter's stuff is VERY cool, and I respect that he's a one-man operation and has no interest in moving to mass production. I'd love to have a Funnybone and a Prybaby XL, but until I come across one in stock somewhere there are plenty of mass-produced multi-tools available at a reasonable price that get the job done (right now a Leatherman, a CRKT Guppie & a Countycomm Micro Widgy prybar cover most of the bases)...

I picked up one from Target the other week and keep it on my key chain. Great little tool. It replaced my CountyComm mini pry bar. Sharpness of the little razor blade surprised me quite a bit.

I picked up one of these this morning - pretty cool. I agree that I would have liked a pocket clip on it.

For $10, I'm gonna pick up a few to use as stocking stuffers for my stepdad & brothers-in-law.

I picked one up today at my local Target. Not a bad little implement.

BTW, I have seen those blades for sale at Wally World in the arts and crafts area.

I grabbed one today as a gift for my brother. I still need to pick one up for myself, but I'll let him give it a test run first.
