the cheapest shipping option they have is FedEx at $8.86 + the price of $5.99 = $14.85.

You could just go to Amazon.com and get a name brand like the Streamlight Enduro for $14.97, eligible for Amazon Prime and Free super savor shipping. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JWD114/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&s=hi&psc=1

Just saying that what looks like a deal is not always a deal, especially when you start factoring in shipping costs.

REI is selling the made in usa militry steripens for some reason if you care where your gear is made. The civ version is made in china. They come with a price though, but very rare deal since you can't buy the protector opti anywhere, I have looked. (Protector and protector opti are not the same thing.)

deals.woot.com had that headlamp as a featured deal awhile back. It was around 10 bucks shipped or less for the both of them. Both work and they're decent headlamps (for the price I got them, at least). They have 3 (low, med, high) settings and I'm pretty sure that high is 11 lumens, not 1100. In fact, iirc high was actually 9 lumens, but I could be mistaken since this was almost a year ago. That said, at that price, I'd definitely go with the Streamlight option that Durzo linked.

Campmor also has the SOLite pads on sale. They are listed as irregular, the aluminum coating has some small holes in it. Mine two only had small dots missing in a couple small sections, like a sprayer head was a little clogged for a foot or so. No big gaps. I got a large for myself and a regular for the wife.

http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___11718
Large is $25, regular is $20. Worth considering over the regular pad at the same price IMHO...

Lifestraws are available, Amazon has them for $25 but this place has them a little cheaper
http://eartheasy.com/lifestraw

Just got mine in the mail... this thing is very light, but I'm definitely seeking something to protect it in my bag. Keep in mind this is for crypto and some bacteria, it won't filter out the very small stuff (viruses, very small bacteria) so chemical treatment is still recommended, but it's better than nothing if you run out of purifying tabs!

Craft and hobby shops have brush tube cylinders to store paint brushes; something like this might work for you. Or a length of conduit.

Is having a Fathers Day sale, free shipping on orders over $50.00. beginning today ending Monday.
So i take this means that even clearance items qualify for free S&H? Does anyone know if that's the case?

Yup, it applies to closeout. I just ordered 2 closeout blackhawk polos and a few other closeout items and free shipping applied to the order.

That's correct. I removed the club deal post and those related. Not going to ban anyone as that sounds cold. All kidding aside club deals are a no go for this thread.

Thanks.

So why is the gearhog post still up. That looked strangely like a count down clock on gearhog....I thought "deal of the day" sites were also not allowed.

So there is more than one? I will check into that now.

Yup looks that way. Removed those posts as well. On a side note I don't think a limited number of items for a limited time aka WOOT (unless they changed) was the issue but the commission and email requirements by some of the deal of the day sites proved too disruptive. Seems GEARHOG might fit the requirements but if anyone sees it another way just send me a PM and will review it with the rest of the mods.

Upon reading one of my posts you should assume that before I post I reread my posts twice and then often again after I post to check and recheck for spelling and grammatical errors. And I still miss most of them because, as it turns out, when you are home-schooled, you are only as smart as your mom.
