REI tents can do that. I have the Half Dome 2 Plus and you can use just the rainfly, poles, and the groundcloth for the ultralight setup.

Tactical Tailor is having a founders day sale, today through May15. Everything they make is 15% off. And it's price corrected on the site. If you haven't used or seen their gear, it's top notch and 100% made in USA. UPS Ground is the least expensive shipping. All their gear is individual military soldier input/designed/developed.

If you're a Sam's Club member, they currently have Kelty Sawnee Ridgeway packs for $19.99. Although the Ridgeway doesn't come with a waist belt, it does include a 2L hydration bladder and a good deal of space to stow critical get-home items. I bought a couple the last time I was at Sam's and am very pleased with the quality and space for less than $20.00.

Gerber Diamond Pocket Knife Multi-Tool Sharpener - $2.99 Shipped + tax.

http://www.1day2shop.com/

I'm familiar with neither the seller nor the product. But at this price it might qualify for one of those "what the hell, worth a shot" purchases. They accept Paypal so you know your CC info is safe. Not nearly as flexible a sharpening solution as say, a whet stone, but at 0.6 oz, this would be a good candidate for a BOB, EDC or GHB.

FYI: Don't try to sharpen your MT's scissors with this.

Features:
-Fine ceramic rods for razor sharpness
-Coarse ceramic rods for aggressive sharpening
-Overall Length: 2.0"
-Overall Width: 1.75"
-Weight: 0.6 OZ
-Lifetime Warranty

They had some issues with the site being sluggish a little bit. So they posted an additional 10% off coupon on top already awesome prices:
"Take an Extra 10% Off your order with coupon code OURBAD. We're sorry for our server issues today and want to make it up to you."

This may be a local thing but the Walgreen's drug stores are selling Snicker Protein Bars, 2 for 1$. They're normally about $1.25 each.

280 calories, high protein, calorie dense, 16 vitamins, 100% of a bunch of them and it's a snickers. For 50 cents.

What's not to like?

We hit the ones near work and home and bought what they had on the shelf. Putting a few into each BoB. I have 5 BoB's I have to keep updated plus a couple of spares in case the poop flies without any notice at all and we have friends over that evening. And I get to eat them in a year or two to rotate them out. ;)

One of these days I will post an introduction. But for now... In addition to the 50% off on golite's site, you can get a 20% off code in your email if you leave a product review. The code is valid for one day though and I'm not sure how long they will keep sending them out.

You are welcome! They are an awesome piece of gear and it keeps everything you might need at hand like a firearm, mags. map, compass, bino's, nibbles, all kinds of things you would want up front instead of having to take your pack off every time you need a bit of food or a reload for a firearm... It's good all by itself too for a day trip or recon around camp or just whatever!

The above post is offering a discount to ZS members and is topical to the gear forum so IMO isn't spam but thank those who showed concern enough to post a report.

This isn't exactly a deal in the traditional sense, but I was surprised at the price of this pack when I found it.
The following pictures are of the US Army's Medium Ruck from the new mutli-cam gear. This pack can be found at this address (it is called the 1609 Based Patrol Pack, under the "Complete Pack Systems" section) for only $147.00 which, after using it I would GLADLY pay. It's very roomy, configurable and comfortable to wear. The one caveat is the one featured in the online store appears to not have the MOLLE webbing sewn on, however this can be easily remedied at most Army Surplus Stores. That web site is the online store for the company who makes the Army's plastic ruck sack frames. They can also be found at that site along with other goodies.
