That's a helluva deal for a lightweight (4 lb, 5 oz) freestanding 2 person backpacking tent with aluminum poles from a reputable manufacturer. The two-tone bamboo green color scheme, while not tacticool camo, presents a pretty low visual profile that would blend in well in most temperate environments. If you care about that sort of thing.

I did a cursory search for online reviews. No actual full blown independent gear reviews, but the conensus among the dozen or so consumer feedback type reviews is it gets good marks for waterproofness and quality of construction, no so much for usability of the "vestibule" and accomodations for users much more than 6 feet. Although those knocks are pretty typical for any tent of this size/weight.

Note that this tent has mesh inner walls and a simple 2 pole cross over design, so don't have any illusions about winter camping. It's strictly a 3 season tent.

Thank you thank you thank you! I actually was about to pick this up off eBay for $139 at what I thought was a decent spend. Instead logged on and used a membership coupon I had laying around and paid $55 with $0 shipping! Great find!
I'm in the market for some CHEAP blue wire! Also a can of black spray paint!

I would have, but I must have got there a little too late. They're sold out now. I don't need another tent, but I would have gladly picked one up at that price. Besides, the sleeping bags will be DIY'ed into hammock underquilts.

Thanks for putting up the extinguishers, I've been looking for one for home at a price under $20, and this sealed it, I got 3(one for each car, too).

^ Holy run-on sentences Batman. Is there a deal buried in there somewhere or that just a poorly punctuated bitch fest about a local merchant?

There has to be a period to count as a sentence. He's still not done typing that one.

Motorola MR356R GMRS and FRS radios

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003A4HBT6

You may have to go to the "more buying choices" page to get the right price, they're available for $50.99 per pair with battery packs and charger.

This deal is still on after around two weeks, I don't know if people hate GMRS or what but I picked up two sets and after fixing my initial toying with the settings, I've got four walkie talkies that work as a set for a hundred bucks. They come with push-to-talk earpieces with mics, built in mini flashlight, and have a bunch of useful features I'll probably review once I've gotten them out to the bush. You can't access the actual frequency, just channel numbers, but it makes them a lot more user-friendly for folks who just got handed a radio in an emergency situation. The frequencies are listed on Wikipedia, however.

Agreed, I'd like to respectfully request/suggest that we add to the rules of this thread "No chat allowed". Now I know that I'm chatting right now but I don't know of any other way to articulate my idea. It just seems like I have to wade through a god awful amount of chat in this thread before I find any "deals".

Afraid this deal is only good for the Dutch and Belgian hunters but at this low price it might be worth shipping abroad.

I found some crusader cooking sets for 44 euro's or 57 dollars
Normaly price runs up to about 65-70 euros's around here.

WISE, VIRGINIA KMART

They have a bunch of stainless steel 25oz water bottles on clearance, originally like 15 bucks now $1.50. I have four now, when i had none before :) They also have some $5 dollar pocket knives for 50 cents. Oh and winter clothes are on a serious clearance(at any kmart), I would urge anyone to go to their kmart as they should all have stuff on clearance.

I removed an off topic (couldn't read it) post. Please remain on topic. A little chatting about a particular deal isn't a bad thing but that should be limited.

Thank you.

For those looking to get a great personal cooking kit Extreme Outfitters has the best deal going. A collaboration between Tactical Assault Systems, GTG, and Jetboil; this is the “all you need” kit. They’ve included the Jetboil Flash, Jetboil Utensil Kit, Jetboil Coffee Press, Jetboil Crunchit, and the TAS/GTG Jetboil Pouch for $144.99. The Retail price on all these items comes out to $190.00 so it’s a saving of $45. But, for now they’re knocking an extra 25% OFF, dropping the kit down to $108.74 (the Flash stove alone retails at $99.99). The 25% off is only valid with code “JBKIT25”. This code is only valid for 2 weeks and will expire on 2/15. The pouch is available in Coyote or MultiCam.

Hope a contest is okay:
So here is the deal, AGS Armament & Consulting, Special Operations Equipment, and 21st Century Firearms are joining forces to square one lucky winner away with a full blown kit.

All you have to do is make sure you are a fan of all three companies and share this post, on March 1st, 2012 we will pick one lucky winner from the combined list of fans! The chosen winner must be a legal US resident and can lawfully own the prizes (the rifle and suppressor in particular), all BATFE and NFA rules apply. So how do you win the pile of awesomeness we are giving away? Well first become a fan of AGS Armament & Consulting, Original SOE Gear, and 21st Century Firearms and share this post on your wall with, "I want my kit!" and on March 1, 2012 we'll pick one lucky winner. Remember you must be a fan of all 3 of companies to win.
What and I going to win for doing this? The three of us are going to give away; -
Century WASR 10/63 AK-47 Rifle courtesy of 21st Century Firearms Inc.

Modular NSW Rig, Hydration Bladder Carrier, Slim Padded H Harness
a Stacked M4/AK Rig in multicam from Original SOE Gear
    Huntertown Arms Kestrel 762AK Suppressor
    8 AK Mags
    Westu Trauma Kit
500rds. of 7.62x39 from AGS Armament & Consulting.

This is a total of almost $1700.00 in prizes and will give one lucky winner pretty much everything they need to get up and running, besides some good training of course.

First, become a fan of AGS Armament & Consulting, Original SOE Gear, and 21st Century Firearms on facebook. Second, Share this post with all of your friends and tell them, "I want my kit!" Third, share this post with people whom are not your friends and because of how sweet this deal is, they might just want to be your friend afterwards. Fourth, wait and check back for pics and details of what could be your kit and on March 1st when we announce the winner! *Rifle and Suppressor will have to be transferred to a FFL and/or SOT and winner is responsible for taxes and transfer fees*

Just got an email from http://theepicenter.com/

They are running a pretty good sale on Mt House #10 cans. I've ordered from them a few times and even though their website is a little primative they are a great company to deal with.

25% OFF FULL CASES (6 of the same item)
10% OFF INDIVIDUAL CANS

We will continue to offer FREE SHIPPING ON ALL MOUNTAIN HOUSE CANS during this sale period.

Sale prices will be published on our website and available only during the authorized sale period. Our sale period is scheduled to run from Monday, February 13, 2012, through Friday, February 24, 2012.

No advance orders please. Also, we are unable to backorder any item that sells out during the sale period, so no backorders will be allowed. And, yes, these are current production Mountain House cans recently received in our warehouse direct from the manufacturer, and not "old" or "outdated" products.

Mark your calendars! Share this with your friends! This long anticipated "sweetheart" MOUNTAIN HOUSE #10 CAN SALE will BEGIN on Monday 2/13/12 and END on Friday 2/24/12.
