I bought an opmod versipack as depicted above. Needed something that size for a trip.

Definately broke my cry once or cry twice rule. Ill be crying again this thing is in no way designed for any sort of rough or long term use. The material and workmanship are simply not there.

Why? I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's trouble, a man alone. Now they got the whole country sectioned off, you can't make a move without a form.

Mother Earth Products a long term food storage company is having a 50% off sale with free shipping.

What you must do to get the discount - First add $100 or more worth of product to your cart. Then near the end of the checkout process you will enter the coupon code Huge. As long as your order totaled $100 or more you will now see free shipping and 50% off. They are out of stock of many things right now but I got an email saying they should be restocked and caught up by the middle of next week.

The code only applies to orders over $100.

Linky - http://www.motherearthproducts.com/promo.htm

Now back to your regularly scheduled chat, product reviews, company reviews, member only sites, woot and people creating posts just to subscribe to the thread. Oh and since no one seems to mind people posting "local only" deals I'll start trying to sell all my craigslist crap on this thread too. You know, all the things the rules of thread say not to do.

Broke a large tent pole on my 11 by 11 foot tent. The company that made it wanted 46 bucks for one.
A seller on ebay has about any size pole from small to large for cheap.
Bought a 23 foot long 1/2 inch pole for $26 shipped. Great place to find a replacement or for a project. Many small poles are are real cheap.

If you want to try out an ECWCS jacket your only option (in big guy sizes) is the Tru Spec version. It's on sale today at Barre Vermont for $45! (It might even be eligible for the extra 10% survey discount too.) In sizes from small to 3xl. Comes in woodland, black and acu. I have this jacket. It's bombproof. Made of Dintex - same as Goretex - but I think a tougher material. Seems tougher than the goretex bivy material.

This is the cheapest I've ever seen it.

Also Truspec BDU pants are on sale for $20 too. In just about every color and camo. They fit a little looser in the crotch than the Propper ones. But aren't baggies like the Rothco crap ones. I've tried them all. And the Truspec seem to be the best fit for bigger guys. And are very very well made. They have BDU shorts too for $17.

Palmetto State Armory is selling blemished (but perfectly functional) stripped AR-15 lower receivers plus a full lower parts kit for $99. I just got that and a $33 stock kit for a complete lower for only $154, including shipping.

Offer ends quickly. It's over at noon today.

They also have everything but a receiver for $599 I think. Not bad.

$79 RTAK II

This is the model without the serrations because if you bring a serrated knife into the woods a bear with eat you. This is known to all preppers.

http://www.knifehog.com/p-1977-ontario- ... 7AodTBMA0g" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

These are usually $99-$175 bucks. So this is a pretty square deal.
