Found this at Wal-Mart. 1.00 a bag. Burns about 5 or 6 minutes.

Is this what you're talking about? Is this a clearance price at your local B&M?

Mind putting a longer review up? how much did you use? what conditions did it work in? did you test to a failure?

I'd be interested for sure - I might find it handy to keep packed inside of a waterproof match case.

I didn't do any in-depth testing yet. Just saw it, picked it up put about half a bag on the charcoal and let it do its thing. Will play around later today with the other half of the bag and actually do a decent review

I am trying to figure out how to upload pictures to my photobucket account on my phone!!!! Not having much luck.
So I will just do a written review.

I used approx an 1/8 of an ounce as recommended on package. ( yeah I have no idea what an eight of an ounce would be so i guessed)

Test #1 will it light with a spark.....
It will light with a Ferro rod spark!!!
The pile I tested only burnt for 3minutes 12 seconds.
I have a video of how easy it light.

Test #2 will it float and burn.....
It does float and will light. Only burnt for 14 seconds.

Test #3 will it light and burn if it gets wet.
It will light after holding a lighter to it for a good length of time. It sizzles and pops, stayed light up for 8 maybe 10 seconds.

So the fail would be if it gets wet its pretty much done in.

Fantastic stuff - how much would you say that was (might be easier to state in cups/Tbsp rather that oz)? I'm really thinking now that a waterproof match case full of 2 storm matches and the rest filled with this stuff would be a great and compact way to keep some fire starter. I've got some wetfire, but it's har to squeeze into places due to its size. Not that it's big, just that its a set size and the container needs to fit it rather than vice versa.

@majorhavoc thank you, ill figure out what I'm doing wrong one day soon!

@00dlez about a table spoon size mound was used. The package it comes in is pretty flat and easy to store it would seem. My plan is to break one package down into 4 equal amounts ( or close to equal) , and vacuum pack it.

From what everyone is saying get rid of PB, they are going to start charging. Change over to another site asap and wipe your info off their site.

OT: Good review, I like anything that has to do with fire!

Great job with the video. It clearly worked with a ferro rod!

A little update ... i found out that if this stuff gets wet, after it dries out it will light up. Dosent seem to burn as long but still it does light.
