Zip-Lock v/s Duct Tape
Zip-Lock plastic bags are more important 9%  9%  [ 1 ]

I use Zip-Lock plastic bags to store wool socks and medicine, and many other things to keep them uncontaminated and waterproof.

But Duct Tape is used very often, and saves the day! I'm a big Duct Tape fan.

If forced to pick between the two, which one would you choose as more important to survival?

Damn, I guess I answered. Duct tape can be used to do just about anything, if you have enough of it, ziplocks, as useful as they are, just aren't as multi-purpose as duct tape.

It's funny you should ask, since I reinforce the seams on the heavy-duty Ziplocs i use for BOB and backpacking duty with . . . yeah, that's right. Duck tape.

Carry duct tape in a zip lock bag and problem solved, forced to choose though and I'd take duct tape.
