RANGE 15 - BEST ZPAW MOVIE EVER

Can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this. Trailer is full of all kinds of foul language like most of their stuff:

Put on by vets for vets. 2 Medal of Honor winners to boot! Lots of good behind the scenes videos on it too. Been waiting a while for this one.

I'm sure the language will be through the roof. Mat Best is the youtube celebrity behind mbest11x the channel that put up the trailer. He's an Army Ranger vet that owns Art 15 Clothing, the movie is a joint venture between the guys from Art 15 clothing and Ranger Up apparel.

^ This was the first announcement, it explains their background for the movie and the ambition of taking on a story hollywood wanted to censor a bit better. I remember correctly, Marcus Luttrell is on board in addition to the other vets mentioned in this video too.

The Article 15 guys are no joke and hilarious to boot. I suspect a hit and I can't wait to see it eventually.

It will be absurd, but that's the point of it.

As other said, look up Matt Best and Derek Weida and their gang of merry vets.

"Best ZPAW movie ever" probably not. A good one that is well worth seeing, sure I can believe that. Looks like it will be a lot of fun and I look forward to it. I like the whole vet made movie in theory, as they will likely get a lot of things right that Hollywood typically doesn't. I also like that they don't seem to be trying to be too serious, keeping a light hearted tone for a silly genre and poking fun of it with humor.

While it looks like they likely had a decent sized budget for some of the stuff to be done. It looks like they could have used some more budget for post production to polish it just a little more. But honestly that has not stopped me from enjoying movies with good story in the past and likely wont this time. While nice to see movies with polish, the story and characters tend to trump polish in my eyes. Too many high budget well polished movies out there that have crap for story and so fail to capture my interest.

It will be over hyped all right.

It involved a huge crowd funding campaign, I can't remember how much it raised, but it was significant in comparisson to what they started with and what their goal was.

They raised a million on crowd sourcing and the companies each put in $250K+. The budget was just under $2M putting it right up there with a SYFY straight to video flick.

Just watched it.

It was exactly what I expected. Tons of face shooting, all manner of legendary violence, copious amounts of obscenity, man ass, and buffoonery.

I am certain that the cast has about as much combat experience as this entire forum. Not saying we don't have a few folks who have been there, saying nearly all the main characters are combat vets. It showed in all the little things. None of them looked uncomfortable with violence.

The movie was irreverent. It had some serious heavy hitters in it, and they were all in on the jokes. Like Medal of Honor recipients making light of things that happened to them. If they didn't have a problem with it, you don't have much of a leg to stand on.

And yes, zombies got capped like it was going out of style. And face punched. Clubbed to death. And more.

This was the movie of what happens when the zombie apocalypse hits a well prepared, well armed, seriously motivated group of humans. I suspect it will become a cult classic in certain circles.

Bought it on Amazon for $20. Watched about 20 minutes and grudgingly admit waste time and money on this one. Disappointing, really, really low brow zombie slapstick schlock.

Saw this last night for free on Amazon Prime. I was over charged. Aggressively stupid. They must have though their self-aware references would make the movie as funny as Deadpool. It didn't.

Saw this last week. It was definitely a train wreck in slow-motion . But just like a train wreck you can't look away. And I even told a friend about how bad it was and he was going to watch it. So kind of a win by losing fail.

I bought the movie on Itunes the day it came out. I laughed a couple of times, but in the end it was a lot of recycled and inside jokes. As dissapointed as I was, it was worth watching and I appreciate the motives of the movie.

Having said that, they are releasing (or released) a documentary of the behind the scenes of the movie called "Not a War Movie" or something like that. I'm guessing that movie will be a very good movie for vets to see.

I still love their skits, but a skit is great for 3-5 minutes. 2 hours of it can be exhausting.
