In the series finale, it looks like Tex and I have the same taste in belts.

Anybody have any thoughts about the 'warlords' vs 'big government'?

Ohhh... that feels like a can o' pancake/waffle forbidden topic. ;)
Plus, I pretty much have to shut my brain off during it, so let's not over analyze it.

Let's focus on the fun/toy stuff...
Keith, I honestly didn't notice Tex's belt. Please post a screencap, if convenient. :)
Also, what kind of sniper rifle was it, near the beginning? Not Vera, I assume, or you'd have mentioned it.

The thing that most annoyed me (this week) was when it became obvious that the Brit scientist was going to sacrifice himself... and he messed up that. Tosser.

During the ending stuff, I kept thinking "soylent green is made of people". ;)
And of course, silently humming The Hero of Canton in my brain.

I'm now officially in Jayne Cobb withdrawal.
I need to do another Firefly marathon, soon!

Holding judgement on this show.

What annoys me is that the show is falling into the Star Trek trap.

The episode I saw had them going into the jungle for monkeys.

NO captain that I know of would leave the ship.

But the CO, XO, various junior officers, and one disgusted Master Chief go. WTF?

In real life (yes...I know.....real life...hahahahah) One officer, MAYBE two....and a chief with enlisted would have gone on the expedition.

And where did the sailors get all this skill to "operate" in the jungle with firearms.

Sailors, especially officers, are notoriously bad at gun handling and moving "tactically." That's not our job.

Plot armor is wonderful.

I'm not holding my breath on this show. I guess keep me in the loop if it gets better but for now I'm gonna stop watching it.
Anyone wanting to talk sh*t about my guns needs to remember I'm holding a gun.

I'm sort of enjoying this show, forcing myself to ignore the fact that the officers keep leaving the ship, just like every other show with military where the officers are doing all these things that they should be delegating to the lower enlisted (speaking as an E4).
I also no nothing about the navy really since I was National Guard, so I can on about watching without knowing the vast amount of mistakes they are probably making.
It's a nice change of pace from the usual PAW shows for me.
