World War Z One thumb up.
ZSC-001 got invited to the press preview of WWZ Tuesday night, about 20 of us rolled out to distribute ZS flyers and pimp the organization.
the non-spoiler important information:
1. Fast rager zombies, but require headshots.
2. Its not the book, its Brad Pitt Saves The World.
3. 3D is really good on this one.
4. If I had paid to see it I wouldn't feel cheated.

Re: World War Z One thumb up.
You know I never thought of myself as a Brad Pitt fan but those are all pretty awesome movies. The leads were all played by others but his supporting roles were always well played. Unless I get sent TDY somewheres domestic I will probably wait till it hits cable though. The wife is not interested and I don't go to the movies alone unless I am out of town.Never saw Fight Club then, huh?

Going to see it tonight with the owner and employees of my LGS. That's after shooting up a bunch of zombie targets and dummies that the owner is bringing. Think I'll bring some tannerite along.

I just wish they had picked someone other than Brad Pitt for the role.
Re: World War Z One thumb up.
"They" didn't do the picking. It's Brad Pitt's movie company. He picked himself.Mannlicher wrote:I just wish they had picked someone other than Brad Pitt for the role.

I was pleasantly surprised. Closer to the book than I expected, yet two different stories. I would, and probably will see it again before DVD.

I told my wife I thought of the movie more like a prequel to the book. I thought it was pretty good.

Saw it today, gotta say I was happy with it. There were maybe a couple things I didn't like, but I'm not going to post any spoilers here. Anybody starts a "spoiler thread", I'm in tho.
Really liked the music from Muse involved. Excellent stuff.

Re: World War Z One thumb up.
I really enjoyed it. It was fast paced and action packed and quite intense. The 3D effects were amazing too. Not the usual cheesy sort at all. I was very surprised though that it had virtually nothing in common with the book aside from the title and the zombies.
