Basically, TDOJMW is a collection of short stories, told as the memories of a brain-damaged survivor who escaped North America with a group and they fled south by ship, eventually landing at a "cold zone" on Tierra del Fuego, which has been largely cleared because it is, more or less, an island.

And so, just as Walker is lying in bed, recovering knowledge of his life as shattered memories come back in flashes to his badly damaged brain, so too shall you see these little slices of his life as they are recovered. At this point, all he has remembered (and told the nurses about) is the death of Petyr, which you just read, as he imagined/heard it and the last time he woke up in a hospital.

Start of an addiction? My man, I've been addicted for years. I'm just now deciding to share in my sickness. I haven't even shown you the demons or the killer rabbits.

Small update, A SIMPLE RUN!

Bump for two smaller somewhat rough updates, Black Sunshine and Steam And Mirrors.

I'm hoping to do a church scene next, with a bit more detail for Reznov's cult/the cult's beliefs and how that particular group of survivors came to be. Also Laser's first contact and a bit of back story on him. And Walker's escape from the hospital, who Nettie is, and other stuff I have in my pages and pages of notes scattered across three computers.

ETA: Also hoping to do pieces about the balcksmith, Nettie and Richard Bailey soon.
