zombie dreams

Postby Waldo » Tue Aug 07, 2012 10:14 pm

I have had repetitive and reoccurring zombie dreams, i always wind up been chased by them and always get away. I climb up trees and the ceiling tiles at work and then i wake up in a huge panic attack, sweating and looking around dazed. Anyone else have these type of dreams, or i'm i the only one?

Hahaha, I cant sleep if I'm not dreaming of zombies. I actually started prepping because after a while I noticed that I usually only had things in my dreams if I had them in real life. In fact most of my dreams are of me trying to get home to my things, after a zombie breakout, or UFOs. I hate UFOs more than zombies because I've become pretty efficient at killing zombies :P but those bastard Aliens always stay in their crafts blowing sh1t up and its hard to hide from them, plus alien dreams are usually louder and brighter so there is more action.

So yes I have "being chased by zombie dreams" but I usually wake up with a smile cause I had a fun night. Its those UFO dreams that wake me up violently.

I had a zombie dream a week ago and I am turning it into a book. Dreams are the seeds of creation. Sometimes they teach us things we should know about ourselves. Dreams are gifts but of themselves, as someone once said, are only interesting to those who dream them. But once you get at the meaning if the dream--or mine the idea from it--it has value that transcends the random firing of synapses in your brain during REM sleep. I once wrote a terrible short story based exactly on an awesome dream, because I had not expressed the meaning in the telling. Turned out the meaning is too personal to tell. To sum up: make something good out of your dreams.

I always find in my zombie dreams I'm left with nothing but melee weapons, and they never follow the laws of physics. My baseball bat is always too soft, and bends around the zombie rather than treating it's head like a mushy tball.

Me too! Haha! Every time I have to punch someone or something in one of my dreams, it's as though I'm punching in a pool of water. Or I shoot something, the bullet is always is in slo-mo! Everybody I've ever talked to about this experiences the same things in there dreams about any physical contact. Kinda wierd.
What if everyone was once a zombie but there was a human apocalypse?

Haha same here, at least at first. When I first bought my first gun in my dreams it wouldn't really do much damage, but after taking it to the range after a while and blowing stuff up my subconscious didn't really understand how damaging it could be I suppose. I suggest smashing some watermelons and stuff with a bat to let your mind see the damage.

You mean all these gory, action packed, shoot em' up movies have been for not? If my subconscious doesn't know that a bullet can blow up a car from a mile away, or obliterate a head to mere ground meat, I'm stupider than I thought.

Well that may be the case then, cause apparently your bat doesn't do what it should.
