I need to update my list. My needs and thoughts on the matter have changed in recent years. I now prefer simple robust designs instead of more popular and fancy guns. Everything on my list is in my collection.

Pistol: Glock 19 9mm
Shotgun: H&R single barrel. I have a couple barrels. 12 and 20 gauge and chamber adapters
Hunting gun: Mosin Nagant M38
People gun: Remington 870 as I have mine modified
Misc: CZ 452 ultra lux. I love this gun...all 4 feet of it.

Have:
Handgun: Glock; Model 19 Gen 2; 9mm
Shotgun: Remington; 870; 12 Gauge
Hunting Rifle: Remington; 700; 30-06
Defensive Rifle: Colt; 6920; 5.56x45mm
Miscellaneous Firearm: Marlin; Papoose; 22LR

Want:
Handgun: Glock; Model 19 Gen 4; 9mm
Shotgun: Remington; 870; 12 Gauge
Hunting Rifle: Remington; 700; 30-06
Defensive Rifle: H&K; MR556A1; 5.56x45mm
Miscellaneous Firearm: Marlin; Papoose; 22LR

Some of the firearms I already have on my want list. I would put an Armalite AR50 as my miscellaneous but it a would be hard to lug it around.

I'm actually pretty satisfied by my current firearm roll call. I feel like I fit my various needs just right.

Handgun-Springfield XDM45. Since Hawaii has a stupid CCW laws, and a 10 round magazine limit. A full service sized pistol in .45acp seems to make the most sense.

Shotgun-Mossberg 590. This actually only ever sees use as a trap gun, which I'm proud to say I'm pretty good with. Other than that I don't have much use for a shotgun.

Hunting rifle-Marlin 336SS in 30/30. At the ranges, and the size of game I would hunt here on island, this is perfect. Stainless steel because this salt and humidity wrecks havoc on most surfaces. I'm a sucker for lever guns as well.

Defensive rifle-Daniel Defense m4v4 AR-15. I like ARs.

Misc-My Smith and Wesson MP 15-22. Because a .22lr analogue for my primary defense rifle just makes sense. Same iron sights, stock and grip as my Daniel Defense.

A close runner up is my Springfield M1a national match. While I absolutely love that gun, it defiantly gets bumped down to second tier for me when I consider what I would be using a rifle for. I mostly own and shoot it because I've liked the m14/m1a platform since I was a little kid.

Defensive Rifle: Arsenal SAM 7R 7.62x39mm
Miscellaneous Firearm: Mohawk Arms AR 15 pistol

My secret weapon is Mrs Barbossa and her...
Handgun: Glock 17
Defensive Rifle: Arsenal SLR 107 7.62x39mm

Pistola: Glock 19 or 1911, haven't decided yet. Depends on what deals are available when I get around to making a purchase.
Shotgun: My Maverick 88 feels pretty reliable, though I'd probably grab an 870 if the right deal presentes itself.
Hunting rifle: Currently, my Mosin is the only rifle I own thats legal for deer. Though if the govt collapsed, my
Defense rifle: Ar15 could humanely kill a deer, possum, raccoon, whatever. 22lr conversion to save meat on smaller critters.

Listing out our current thoughts on this.

Handgun (Make; Model; Caliber): Glock 22 (.40, mine), PPQ (.40, wife's)
Shotgun (Make; Model; Gauge): KSG, 12GA
Hunting Rifle (Make; Model; Caliber): Browning BLR takedown, .308
Defensive Rifle (Make; Model; Caliber): AR57 pistol (mine), PS90 (wife's)
Miscellaneous Firearm (Make; Model; Caliber): Swap the AR57 out for the Sub2000 (.40 glock) depending on scenario. Also we'll be swapping out the PS90 for a Tavor. 5.7 is just a bit hard to find these days and we didn't lay in enough ammo.

Hmm, this is a little difficult for me to list. My wife & I basically have two different setups due to shooting proclivities and left/right handedness.

Me, ideal-
Handgun: Glock 23 (.40 S&W)
Shotgun: Remington 870 pump (12 ga.)
Hunting Rifle: Ruger Gunsight Scout (.308 Win)
Defensive Rifle: PSA Home-brew AR-15 (.556 NATO)
Miscellaneous Firearm: POF P-308 AR (.308 Win)

Me, actual-
Handgun: Glock 23 (.40 S&W)
Shotgun: Remington 870 pump (12 ga.)
Hunting Rifle: Mosin-Nagant bubba-scout (7.62x54R)
Defensive Rifle: None (PSA work in progress)
Miscellaneous Firearm: POF P-308 AR (.308 Win)

Wife, ideal-
Handgun: S&W Model 13-3 (.357 Mag)
Shotgun: Remington 1100 (18.5" barrel)
Hunting Rifle: Marlin 1894C (.357 Mag/.38 Spc)
Defensive Rifle: Kel-Tec SU-16A (5.56 NATO)
Miscellaneous Firearm: Springfield M6 Scout (.22 LR/.410 ga.)

Wife, actual-
Handgun: S&W Model 13-3 (.357 Mag)
Shotgun: Remington 1100 (24" barrel)
Hunting Rifle: None
Defensive Rifle: Kel-Tec SU-16A (5.56 NATO)
Miscellaneous Firearm: Springfield M6 Scout (.22 LR/.410 ga.)

So, you can see that I'm just 2.5 rifles short of the ideal. I need to get a short barrel for the wife's skeet-shooter too. She'll have to use the Saiga-12 in the mean time.

I'm really happy with my current line-up.

Handgun: Glock 23 .40 S&W with DeFoor sights, smooth face trigger, NY1 spring, the plug.
Shotgun: Remington 870 20 gauge with 18" cyl. bore bbl, 20" rifled bbl, and 26" rib bbl w/choke tubes.
Hunting Rifle: Winchester M70 .270 with Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40, mounted in Talley Fixed Rings.
Defensive Rifle: Colt 6920, stock other than VCAS and Gapper.

Each serves a useful role, and each is very good at it. They're all nice guns too. I enjoy shooting all these.

Updated. Imaginary but legal version

Handgun: Sig P226 tac (barrel length needed for legality) (working on getting this)
Shotgun: Double Barrel 12g, 20in barrel, preferably with ejectors, preferably break-down. (I have a single barrel of this, can't find a good double barrel one.)
Hunting rifle: Tikka T3, .223 with a 3-12 scope (at the moment it's a savage .308, too big for most of what's around)
Defensive rifle: Remington 7600p .308 - have this
Miscellaneous firearm: Ruger Mk3 Target... it's on order so I'll go with it.

Quick update: (in bold)

Handgun: Glock 23 .40 S&W with DeFoor sights, smooth face trigger, NY1 spring, the plug.
Shotgun: Remington 870 20 gauge with 18" cyl. bore bbl, 20" rifled bbl, and 26" rib bbl w/choke tubes.

Defensive Rifle: Colt 6920, Aimpoint Comp ML3 in Larue LT150, Troy folding BUIS, VCAS, and Gapper.

I gotta get me a .327 Federal revolver after reading the current issue of American Handgunner.
Already shooting .32H&R, .32S&W, .32S&W Longs & .32ACP from both my Ruger Birdhead & my Mosin Nagant (w/adapters).
I can still find some flavor of .32 on the shelves when the .22's and the .44's can't be found.
