Help with a Sig (Hammerli?) Trailside, please
So...
I've got a Sig Trailside, made by Hammerli. It is a fun little .22 pistol to shoot, but is plagued by issues with the safety switch. Part of it is a bit of plastic which juts out of the back of the slide, with a tiny spring and ball detent. Replacements for this part are sold now made of metal because the plastic deforms and allows the safety switch to, basically fall off.
There is a tiny ball bearing housed in there with a tiny spring. In the course of replacing the metal part, I lost this ball bearing. Anyone know what size it is? Otherwise, there is a place that sells the exact part for $7 plus shipping. I feel like this is high for a single ball bearing smaller than a grape seed. If someone knows the exact size, I'd appreciate the info.

"Flawlessly". Every time I see this word in a thread, I brace myself for bullshit. Around half the time I end up feeling vindicated.

Nobody knows? Call me a miser, but I'm too stubborn to pay $8 plus shipping for a blob of steel smaller than a grape seed.

Maybe give it another couple of years? Someone's bound to come along eventually who knows the answer.

What if you got a cheap caliper from Harbor Freight and loot sorry,"sampled" a
grape next time you went grocery shopping? That should get you close.

Re: Help with a Sig (Hammerli?) Trailside, please
A Sig Trailside was my first pistol, but sorry I don't know the answer to your question.
I didn't have any of the problems with mine that I've heard about other people having, but I sold it to buy a Ruger Single Six partly so that I would shoot slower and spend less money on ammo.
