once upon a time those were made available in .41 Magnum

I have seen these (I like .357 mag...a lot...) but always wondered how reliably a rimmed cartridge would function in these pistols. Any have any experience with any rimmed cartridges in an auto?

Not this pistol in particular although a friend of mine as a Desert Eagle chamberd in .357 Magnum and I've never seen it misfeed in all the times I've seen him with it on the range.

There's just something neat about a 1911 style pistol chambered in .357 Magnum.

I may not know much, but I do know I want one.

Same here. I've always been a fan of the .357 Magnum and that is one sexy pistol. They are available in several finishes too - stainless, blued, black and even digital camo.

I know a .357 may be a small round, but the gun loaded is only .48 oz?

I see that, however I have this glorious item. 15rds of 10mm in a 24 oz Glock 20 SF.

From what I understand 10mm and .357 are very close in terms of power.

That said I love the .357 (there is a .357 SP101 on my hip as I write this) and carry one pretty much daily. I also love 1911's. So this gun makes me happy.

.357 is also a lot more common a round than 10mm, which I do not see all that often.

I wounder if the OP's linked gun can also feed .38 special.

Just ignore the 10mm. Just put it up because I just got it. No need to debate it.

A friend had a .44 magnum Desert Eagle, always fed fine. This kinda has me a bit excited too. I've always loved the .357, and a 1911 in that caliber would be awesome!
Does it fill a need not covered in my gun cabinet? Not really. But... I still want one.

Oh shit. I made the mistake of showing that to my .357 mag fanatic wife that keeps trying to steal my 1911...maybe not a mistake. His and hers sequential serial numbers? Yeah.

Colt made a 1911 in .38 Special (not just Super) a number of years ago that worked fine.

For instance here's one.

Unfortunately, no. Bid on a couple and something happened each time.

I'll get one eventually though. Just a matter of time.

They show up to anything here in state, shows shoots etc.
I won a COONAN hat as a doorprize once. Everyone from the shop is super awesome.

The fit on these is pretty sweet, and they are fun to shoot.
