It takes place on another planet, and their is going to be a massive economical collapse unless there is a massive Maoist return to the land movement..any one know the book in question?

Anyone? If not could you recommend Sci Fi novels? with a short plot summery.

I'd ask a librarian, they get questions like this all the time.

Any name of a character or place name? If only a plot description it make it hard to limit down choices! May be a Heinlein novel?

Don't know the one in question, but if you want some awesome authors...

Robert Adams- Horseclans Series, post-apocalyptic action adventure at its finest. He has several other unfinished (deceased) series that are also worthy of a read.

John Ringo- Kildara cycle is full of sick porn but the action is good. His other stories are better.

You can also try something like the Abe Books' BookSleuth forums. Find the right area (sci-fi in this case) and ask your question there. Be sure to give as much detail as you can, give your question a good descriptive title, and someone will probably be able to identify the book for you. I've used it several times and had really good luck getting answers.

Kindle has Space Viking by H. Beam Piper. First SF I ever read. Pretty good.
