This was kind of surprising... Beat the heck out of it, ran a truck over it. It's an impressive /looking/ test for one half of the shell.

I mostly post this because in the vid there are some really good detailed closer looks at the interior of the shell, and this one is the final product, not the prototype I posted pics of earlier. So for those interested... here goes.

...I'm torn, honestly. I want a 10/22 TD... plans were for that to be my only 10/22. But I kinda want this stock because it seems kind of fun. It's easy to swap the gun in and out but honestly it's a lot of machine screws and ... it can be a pain in the butt, an inconvenience. So if I got the kit, I'd want a dedicated 10/22 for it. *sigh* Decisions.

Welp, FedEx, UPS and the mail lady have all been here today........And it looks like there'll be no ZK-22 stock under the Chritmas tree.

A post by RJF from Bullpupforum.com
Hello All,

Happy New Years and I hope everyone was able to spend some time with friends and family for Christmas and New Years!

I am definitely not where I wanted to be with shipping the ZK-22. The last couple weeks have been rough and slammed packed, the recent political events have thrown a bit of a monkey wrench into the shop. It has affected everything from the Phone system (6 lines tied up and it takes about 3 min to get a line out), to the the web site (killed the site twice and had to revert) to the ZK-22 production (pulled people to answer phones, and handle the extra traffic in the retail shop).

The Holidays have us down to a bare minimum of people. Worse, a really nasty flu variant has run through the shop like wild fire, I personally am just becoming able sit up after about 5 days, so ease up if someone disappears for a bit, I was contemplating reviewing my Will at one point... I still have my main two ZK-22 production guys out with the Flu. Apparently I was Patient Zero; the doctor said something about working too much.

We have been slowed down with the ZK-22's Charging handle, It did require a mold recut and we have had to hand modify each charging handle we had in stock. We are now waiting for the Bulk of the new charging handles to come in. Most places are closed through the Holidays so it is a problematic time for issues to crop up, but we are moving forward.

On a positive note we will be shipping out our largest batches of Stocks yet, Tomorrow and Thursday. Additionally, feedback on the stocks has been great! However, our installation Video had a bit of a meltdown but we will have it back up shortly and the link will be public!

SHOT Show is around the Corner and we will be down to a minimum crew at the shop during that time, This is a big Year for us and our First year with dedicated Booth (actually 2! )! Look for several accessories for the ZK-22, as well as our new rifle line and Suppressor systems!

Thanks for y'alls continued patience!

So, Sportsmans Guide has the ZK-22 stock available right now and i'm still waiting for mine. I'll bet if I ordered one right now from Sportsmans guide, I would receive it before RJF gets off their ass and gets me the one I paid for 9 months ago.

Just got word that on their web site SG says 4-1-13 earliest ship date. If I decide to get a second one, i'll wait for the colored ones to be available.

So, April First is the earliest ship date? :awesome:
Why? I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's trouble, a man alone. Now they got the whole country sectioned off, you can't make a move without a form.

How do they expect to keep any customers when we can't get any info from them on orders we prepaid for?

because you've got all the Sons of Guns fanboys who buy $35 T-shirts keeping them in business.

RJ said they had all the bugs worked out, the new charging handles and trigger bars, and a truckload of stocks delivered, and that they would be flying out in the hundreds this past week....

so far as I can tell- checking the interweb chatter, NO shipping confirmations have been received this week. As it stands now, only the very first and second days of orders have seen some deliveries. So- to re-cap RJ's 'updates': shipping in the Fall, 2012; then shipping for Christmas delivery; then shipping for end of year/first of January; then shipping for end of January; now seeing that many have been told end of February; now website says 8 week backlog for new orders...

Between the HTA and RJ, it looks like I backed the wrong horse...

oh- did anyone see the ZK-22 on eBay? It sold for $600.00.
The seller said he got it at the SHOT show...

Lots of pissed off people out there-

and check out 'Joe Meaux of Sons of Guns' FaceBook page for lots and lots of angry customers... :vmad:

Latest thing I saw was order 781 was shipped on the 28th. Prior to that 762 was shipped on the 24th. So if my math is correct, they are shipping a record 19 stocks every 4 days. That is less than 5 stocks per day. I am unimpressed!

saw that 802 shipped on the 29th. 762 shipped on the 24th so if my math is correct, they've shipped 40 pieces in 6 days. that is a whole not quite 7 stocks per day... under whelming!
today is the 4th, end of day, and no further shipping confirmations since the 29th. this does not bode well.

Gotta admit that I've been looking into the RJ ZK-22. But after seeing how long its going to ship its kind of turning me off...... But I'm deserately in love with this gun its almost EXACTLY what I was thinking about in the line of a nice little 22lr. JTNieman any word if they are going to start shipping faster??? I only ask you because from reading this thread it looks like you work there. I'm definitely very interested though! It also seems like its actually decently priced.
