Neat. Guy at a range about an hour north of me had a really sharp one with reddish wood furniture and a metal sidefolder, seems to me it rivaled the mp5k for size, nearly. Probably with the happy switch, because thats how he rolls. I read somewhere that krinkov, or 'krink', is an American invented designation. No one over there calls them that. The Russian nickname I heard for a short kalash is 'malysh' for 'little boy'.
"Flawlessly". Every time I see this word in a thread, I brace myself for bullshit. Around half the time I end up feeling vindicated.

I think the actual designation is AK74SU. Still damn sexy beasts. I would do one oldschool, at least.

'Malysh' is very cool. That can be the name of the Draco. I think I prefer 'Suchka' for the Krink though 8-)

I'm not sure what the proper designation would be for the Krink since it's 7.62x39?

AKS-74U is the designation. The Russians never made a 7.62x39 variant but the Bulgarians sure did, not sure of the actual designation but I have seen the parts kits for it called AKS-74S.

Well, at least I had the right letters in there
I'm still new to learning the finer details of the AK series... Lol. Got some reference materials and all that in terms of history, official designations and what not. Haven't brushed through it in a few weeks though.

If you are going to get one, you should do so post haste. Kits and guns are rising to exorbitant rates.

You're correct in that Krink/Krinkov is an American term. Suchka - little bitch/whore is the Russian designation and applies to the 7.62 or 5.45 flavors.
