My Baby. 1940 K98 F-1. Love this rifle....Image Manf code 337, Numbers matching, post war conversion by Norway to 30-06. Was cut at some point and drilled for a Lyman peep sight. Front sight blade has also been changed. My understanding is this is common as Home Guard units in Post war Norway were allowed to use their issue rifles in shooting comp's and biathalon use.

Not 100% finished. I got a black handguard that needs to go on, as then it'll match the Ultimak. I want to go with an Ironwood butt stock to balance out a little better, and get a good sling + red dot. But, it can hold its own as it sits.

yessss I have come to the same conclusions that a wood stock + polymer handguards is the way to go.
