I thought to myself "if I remember my video games correctly... and I do... that top picture is the standard assault rifle for the Helghast army."

I think that looks most like a FAMAS with a Russian-type cylinder magazine.

That looked like a nice shotgun before it was tactibubba'd. Don't recognize it, anyone know?

Bubba wasn't in any way involved. That's how it came from the (Russian) factory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KS-23

Boris and Bubba are cousins. I hate to say it, but most of the guns I see come out of the USSR/Russia look Bubba'd to me. I know you can say "ergonomic" in Russian, even if they display no knowledge of it. Not sure if they can say "style" though.

A "Bubba'd" gun usually starts out as a half-way decent firearm that sumdood thinks he can "improve" (usually with "WTF?" results). A gun that comes from the factory as "WTF".....Is merely WTF.

So what have we learned today?....That while most Bubba'd guns can be considered "WTF", not all WTF guns have to be "Bubba'd". :ooh:

Personally, I love bubba/WTF guns. This is probably my favorite thread on here, just to see all the weird shit people come up with. It may be ugly and an abomination unto all that is good and holy, but at least someone spent some time thinking about and working on their weapon for a change instead of just buying it and throwing it in the closet.

The way I see it either you can have one gun per purpose that works extremely well or you can have one gun all purpose and it works poorly or semi quality at best.

Definitely wtf on that gun man!

I agree I hate how people seem to think you can make a CQB rifle that doubles as a long range sniper rifle. I see this a lot with ammo also. People want an armor piercing round that acts like a varmint round in soft tissue and won't penetrate walls.

Went out to Oaks PA for the big show this weekend, saw a lot of scope rings-with-rails-on-top-and-sides, and couldn't get over the WTF involved with such a thing. I momentarily thought about how the rails might protect the scope from getting bumped, but the whole thing is still off-sight once you hit it in such a way anyway, and chances are you're going to hit the end of the scope. Better to just not drop your gun.

Really, once you need to add a laser/flashlight to a scoped rifle, you've already gone too far, but to need to attach it to the scope instead of the fore grip... it's an AR. You get rails all over that for a reason.

Anyone found a reasonable purpose for extra rails on the top and sides of scope rings?

Just get a two ring binder. It's perfect for close range paper holding, and it won't go through drywall. Not to mention the sound of you opening and closing it will make the paper automatically fall in line.
